START NOTHING (ALL TIMES ARE PACIFIC DAYLIGHT):  Before 4:45 pm Sun., 10:10 pm to 9:32 pm Tues., and 5:38 pm Thurs. to 0:59 am Fri.

PREAMBLE:

ALL SIGNS: Mercury turns retrograde July 17 at 9:45 PM PDT, until August 11 at 0:30 am PDT. My advice: start no new projects nor relationships before August 11. During this time, make “to do” lists (because you’ll be forgetful) and be flexible, willing to change plans, to adjust for missing supplies or personnel or altered schedules.

A project or person from the past might appear — judge this, then embrace or reject it.

WEEKLY FORECAST:

ALL SIGNS: MY TREMORS ARE BAD TODAY, PREVENTING ME FROM FORMATTING THE HEADINGS AND GLYPHS FOR EACH SIGN. SORRY!

ARIES:  March 21-April 19

This is your last full week of domestic concerns, Aries. (Which are basically very fortunate now to June 2026, even if the emphasis lifts.) You remain pinned to the work wheel. Conversations and casual acquaintances are uplifting and gracious, and there’s a lot of talk around a creative, risky, or romantic involvement. Speaking of romance, or of any kind of creative communication communications, these turn into confusion and delay now to August 11. (Technically, July 18 to August 11, but the effects will begin before this Friday.) A former love might return in the weeks ahead. Sunday starts hopefully and with friends, but by late afternoon you switch to a quiet retreat for rest and contemplation — until Tuesday night. (Don’t make any major plans, as they are sure to change.) You might spy a real estate bargain. Your energy and charisma surge upward Wednesday/Thursday. Domestic ties may keep you from soaring into new adventures, but look on the domestic as the opportunity. Deal with money Friday/Saturday — collect and pay, buy/sell, read in order to learn something, and, if you want to, chase a flirty friend.

TAURUS:  April 20-May 20

You’re still in a run-around, details, bits and pieces, paperwork, casual acquaintance, rushing mode, Taurus. For some of you, this involves a domestic situation — realize that here, conditions are changing — be alert and quick, and double-check. (A 3-week slowdown starts Thursday night (PDT) and will tend to focus on home, family, security.) DON’T change homes or buy a home before August 11 — ditto renovations, decorating/painting, any construction. The big trend, though, is travel, paperwork, casual friends, and restlessness. This “area” will remain very fortunate until next summer, and could open your eyes to (or connect with) financial and/or sexual and/or research opportunities — good ones. You’re fairly hot to trot in romantic zones, and money looks good. Start no new projects nor relationships before August. 11. Sunday emphasizes your worldly standing, your ambitions. But this late afternoon (PDT) through Tuesday brings joy, optimism, popularity, friends and flirting. Both bad luck and good luck alternate here. Retreat, find a restful spot away from the hustling crowd Wed./Thurs. Again, your luck is mixed but generally positive. Your energy and charisma surge upward Fri./Sat. Success indicated!

GEMINI:  May 21-June 20

The accent remains on money, possessions, casual sex and rote learning, Gemini, for nine more days. This area will be one of very good luck now to next summer. (I’m a Gemini, and my RRIF stocks rose by 15 % recently.) Mars is creating friction in your family or home. You might have to take a stand, for your own future’s sake. You remain physically attractive and affectionate towards others, which is why you’ve received a few smiles from strangers lately. For the next two years, your hopes and wishes will tend to come true in a slow but solid advance involving finances, investments, secrets and research, and sex (including pregnancy) — especially if you make some effort. You face a fair amount of paperwork, computer puzzles, etc. all July and August. These face delays, confusion, mistakes and second thoughts this week to August 11. So double check everything you say or write, make to do lists, etc. A former friend might contact you. DO NOT start any projects or new relationships before August 11. Sunday starts happily, but by late afternoon a more vibrant, edgy tenor arrives, to last through Tuesday. This new vibe is an ambitious one, and could bring you into contact with the boss or other VIPs. Charge ahead – this is your time to shine, to impress higher-ups. Social joys, flirtations, popularity and optimism arrive Wednesday/Thursday. Your luck is mixed but you’ll be happy! Retreat Friday/Saturday, find a quiet place to rest, contemplate and examine your past present and future. Don’t make major plans, as they would change. An OK week!

CANCER:  June 21-July 22

You remain at the top of your game, Cancer. Your energy and charisma are high, and your clout good. But I won’t use the word effective, because this week until August 11 will bring delays, confusion, second thoughts, and missing items. Therefore, don’t start any new projects or relationships, nor make any important purchases, before August 11. (In fact, the slow down that looms does mainly aim at your money.) Career and bosses are going to be a little heavy for the two years ahead, but your personal luck is easily high enough to grant you success in your ambitions, at least for the next 11 months. Lots of paperwork and communications all July. You feel secure, and your inner world is at peace. (At least for a while!) Sunday starts mysteriously, but by late afternoon (through Tuesday) you open up to large ideas, an expanded viewpoint, and love – both for a person and humanity. Good and bad luck mingle. Avoid lawsuits. Be ambitious Wednesday/Thursday — that “heavy” influence mentioned above begins, especially in Europe and Asia. Still, you will surprise yourself by how much you accomplish. Happiness, optimism and popularity, social delights, flirtations and entertainment bless you Friday/Saturday.

LEO:  July 23-Aug. 22

Continue to rest, contemplate, seek advice, and deal with civil servants, institutions and management types, Leo. Despite your weariness, others seek you out. Usually this would be a good time to make plans for the future, but not this time. Plans made now will almost certainly change. You are being plunged into the past now through August 11 in some way. Long lost friends or a former social group or friendly lover might return — so might an old, cherished goal/wish. Your money scene is very active now – more comes in, but you have to prevent yourself from spending it. Sunday starts with relationships and challenges — and bright horizons — but grows increasingly “private” late afternoon through Tuesday. This interval draws you toward sex/lust, finances, research, medical and lifestyle decisions. Luck? Mixed. Wednesday/Thursday brings a wider view point, gentle love, profound ideas and perhaps involvement in far travel, law, higher learning, publishing. There is an odd, unpredictable luck here Wednesday. Be ambitious Friday/Saturday. Bosses are watching your performance, and things could be a little rocky very early in the morning (predawn, PDT) in the western hemisphere, but you’ll come through with success. Do not start any new projects, relationships nor large purchases before August. 11.

VIRGO:  Aug. 23-Sept. 22

Do not start any new projects, relationships nor large purchases before August. 11, Virgo. They would likely fail over time. Instead, prepare for delays, mistakes and indecision for the next 3 weeks. Most of the delays will probably involve your career or your personal life, but take place in the “background” — that is, with the gov’t, or institutions or “head office.” The general trend now is social and fun-oriented. This area, friends, light romance, hopes and wishes, will prove very fortunate over the. 11 months ahead. So start wishing, visualizing! You are assertive and sexy now — who are you attracting? Tackle chores and pamper your health Sunday. By late afternoon (PDT) through Mon. and Tues., relationships arise. So do opportunities, fresh horizons, agreements and disagreements. Your luck here is 10 points bad, 30 points good. The secret side of everything, especially of relationships, blossoms Wednesday/Thursday. Again, your luck is mixed. Be cautious when making commitments in love, sex, finances. Gentle love comes Friday/Saturday. Themes of far travel, international affairs, law, publishing, higher learning, and social rituals such as weddings or bar mitzvahs enter. You will be happy, satisfied!

LIBRA:  Sept. 23-Oct. 22

The general accent remains on your career, community standing, prestige relationships and your ambitions, Libra. Though this general accent will ease in about 9 days, this area will remain greatly fortunate for you for the next 11 months. So be ambitious, do your best, grab for the brass ring. If you’re young your ambition should increase; if you’re old your prestige should rise. Don’t start any new projects, big purchases or relationships before August 11. Anyone new that you meet before August 6 is sure to be a terrible life mate prospect — leave him/her alone. Until August 6, avoid belligerent people and sketchy neighbourhoods. Your ideas are still good, and your intellect will tend to find the good side of things. This helps love. Soon, people are going to return from the past, most likely from your social life. Sunday features romance, beauty, creativity and charming kids. By late afternoon (PDT) the pleasure dissolves and the work begins. Tackle chores through Tuesday. Eat, dress sensibly. Luck mixed. Relationships, fresh horizons, public appearances, opportunities, agreements and disagreements fill Wednesday/Thursday. Again, your luck is mixed. It’s probably best to avoid making any commitment until your “view” clears (i.e., after Aug. 10). Friday/Saturday are for sex, intimacy, promises, large finances, secrets/research, and medical and lifestyle decisions. This is generally a good interval, so March ahead — but continue to be a little wary of making an irrevocable commitment to anything.

SCORPIO:  Oct. 23-Nov. 21

Nine more days of heightened intellectual, learning, legal, travel, religious or philosophical and similar involvements, Scorpio. This area will be tremendously lucky for the next 11 months. So it’s a great time, for instance, to enter college or write your LSAT. Or visit another country. Your financial and sexual prospects look fine all July. You socialize better with men than women for the next 3 1/2 weeks. If you’re a single female, a Virgo male might grow increasingly attractive. In career and prestige zones, all slows now to mid-August, so be patient, understanding. Do not start any new projects, relationships or major purchases before Aug. 11. Sunday starts domestically (sleep in?) but by suppertime (PDT) you’re steered into creative, romantic and pleasure zones, through Tuesday. Some great luck and some obstacles here. Tackle chores Wed./Thurs. Eat, dress sensibly. Again, your luck is mingled, but you’ll progress, accomplish. Relationships come Fri./Sat. — as do opportunities, fresh horizons, and cooperation or argument. Mostly good, but remember, start nothing new.

SAGITTARIUS:  Nov. 22-Dec. 21

The emphasis remains on secrets, crimes and confessions, research, major finances, sex and pregnancy, medical and lifestyle choices, Sage — for 9 more days. This area will, over the 11 months ahead, offer great good luck — if you’re honest, committed and open to change. (Sept. to mid-Feb. Will be luckiest.) Do not start any major purchases, new projects or new relationships before August 11. (They would likely fail in time.) Higher-ups (bosses, judges, etc.) are prepared to treat you harshly until August. 6, so behave, keep a low profile, and don’t argue. Others, esp. a Gemini, treat you well all July. Your philosophy and thinking will hit a bit of a wall this week to September 1. You might have to change your ideas and convictions. A former teacher or lover might return. Sunday starts with errands, conversations and general restlessness. But by late afternoon (PDT) through Tuesday, the focus switches to home, family, security, rest and contemplation. Do repairs, but remember not to start projects such as renovations. Good luck outweighs obstacles. Romance and creativity, beauty and charming kids enter your sphere Wednesday/Thursday. Your luck is mixed, so go slow, be accepting of what comes. Tackle chores Friday/Saturday — you will get a lot done these two, smooth days.

CAPRICORN:  Dec. 22-Jan. 20

The general accent falls on relationships, opportunities, cooperation and opposition for the 9 days ahead, Cap. But this area in general (and relocation) will be ultra-lucky for 11 months. (Best Sept. to mid-Feb.) However, do not start any new projects, relationships nor major purchases before August 11. Until August. 6, you should avoid lawsuits and foreign travel (or at least be cautious when travelling). You’ll have many opinions, but voting them might end a relationship. Work is pleasant. Many “second thoughts” will accompany sexual and financial hook-ups. Best not to commit yourself yet (before mid-August). Sunday starts with shopping or other money activities, or “relaxed intimacy.” But before suppertime (PDT) you switch to high-activity through Tuesday: errands, calls, paperwork, restless wandering. Luck is good and bad here, so be alert. Head for home or knock around the ‘hood Wed./Thurs. Hug the kids, garden, putter, fix, make things secure — emotionally too. Again, luck is mixed, but leans toward good. Friday/Saturday bring beauty, pleasure, creative and risk-taking moods — you’ll be happy!

AQUARIUS:  Jan. 21-Feb. 18

Work, work, work — 9 days left of drudgery and health concerns, Aquarius. This area, though, will be quite lucky for 11 months — lucky, or just “bigger,” with more work. (Still, more work usually means more money.) Your sexual side is humming until Aug. 6. Same period, you need to avoid stomach upsets, chemicals, rashes, STDs, etc. — and try not to be impulsive with $, investments, or personal commitments. Don’t start any new projects, relationships or big purchases before August. 11. (These weeks ahead might bring back a former spouse or lover — or one you wanted to love.) Romance, beauty and pleasure are available — a Gemini or Libra might be involved, but in the clinches, when/if a life commitment is involved, others could be indecisive, hesitant. (Good, actually.) Your energy and charisma shine Sunday, but this evening (PDT) shunts you into “money mode” through Tuesday — buy/sell, earn and pay, learn by reading, and/or hug a “fried with benefits.” Your luck is good and bad, but it all ends well Tues. Errands, communications and paperwork fill Wed./Thurs. Again, luck is mixed, but leans to the good side. Be home, hug the kids, clean, fix things Fri./Sat. Get a good rest and contemplate your progress and direction thus far. (Don’t bother making big plans — they’ll change.) A satisfying end to the week!

PISCES:  Feb. 19-March 20

The main accent remains on romance, beauty, pleasure and the joy of children, of creativity and of pure existence, Pisces! This general emphasis will fade in nine or 10 days, but this area (romance, etc.) will become very fortunate over the 11 months ahead. You will tend to win at cards, Vegas, etc.  Relationships are dicey until Aug. 6 — hot attraction, or angry hostility. Be a diplomat! Your home remains comforting, affectionate. Kids please. But DON’T start any new projects, relationships nor major purchases before August. 11 — lemons abound, and your motives for buying will seem wrong soon. At work, delays, misunderstandings, indecision can affect you. Take a deep breath and tackle chores slowly and carefully, with forethought. You’ll be tired Sunday, willing to stay in the background. But this eve (PDT) through Tuesday brings heightened energy and charisma — get out and about, impress people, see and be seen. Chase $ Wed./Thurs., buy/sell, hug a friend with benefits, and/or read something new, in a new area. Your luck is good and bad — mostly good. Casual acquaintances, errands, trips, communications and paperwork fill Fri./Sat., in a productive, satisfying way.

THE END.

AFTERAMBLE:

There is something much more complex going on. It’s a poor comparison, but it’s like quantum physicists discovering there are more layers beyond the quantum, a whole new universe of mathematical mysteries, maybe further than the brain can see. Just the fact that we exist – what are the mechanics of existence? And how finally spun are the tools of fate? It makes you wonder.

***

I love it. I love living. Even in the depths of depression, in the rages of my rants, in my anxious periods, or when love’s lost, I still, always, feel a kind of joy. It’s like, the foundation, the first slab, is joy.

But also, in my pleasurable moments, there’s a hint or more of sadness or regret. Nothing really makes sense.

***

In my life, love and scorn come together. Like two brothers, their sibling struggles pull back the curtains on the stage only to find this: infinite love and endless scorn, like islands of paradise isolated by seas of undrinkable waters. Little does the scorn know that it can turn on itself and with surgeon-like precision slowly dismantle itself. The best dismantling tool? Love. But a lot of us can’t afford that, so there are other ways: intellectual — pure logic says love betters scorn — self examination, living life to the fullest so that succeed or fail, you learn. The learning itself dissolves the scorn.

If you’re worried about mold, buy/rent a house that faces east/West without shade trees, or use deciduous trees. And of course, keep the south wall full of windows and unobstructed. If you live in the southern hemisphere, keep the north wall that way.

Remember I told you, about 40 years ago (1984) that communist countries would become more capitalistic, and that the U.S. and other democracies would become more communistic? And that it would all, eventually, lead to a third system, not “invented” yet?

Since then, the American and European leftists have, esp. this last decade, become more and more dramatically communist. (In France, they even threw a non-leftist, leading presidential candidate in jail, to prevent her from being elected. Now Germany’s leftists are trying to do the same to a conservative candidate. In the U.S., of course, they — Biden’ leftists — tried to throw Trump in jail to prevent his candidacy.)

Biden’s presidency was essentially Marxist. Marxism is the precursor to communism — it “prepares” for communism by attempting the destruction of religious and moral structures that hold a non-communist society together. Example? Biden trying to destroy religion by harassing and jailing Roman Catholics. The promotion by educators of perversion and pedophilia to very young children. And the promises of a life without work in which everything is paid for (and controlled) by the government. Recently, the Democratic candidate for Mayor of New York, Mamdani, is campaigning on a promise to establish gov’t run grocery stores (a la Russia, where food shelves stood empty) to give all services free to illegal immigrants, to drastically tax the rich, to eliminate the police, etc. His platform is deeply and wholly communistic/Marxist. If the majority of people in New York are lazy, then Mamdani will be elected.

***

The trouble with communism is that it relies on the notion of selflessness, or voluntary sharing. It ignores human nature, which is basically self oriented, and will do as little as it has to to eat and survive, especially in a system that provides very little avenue for gaining more luxury, more money, more position or power. Capitalism is successful generally because it recognizes and uses the basic human drive for self-aggrandizement. Because anyone can get ahead, almost everyone will work harder. (Harder for themselves than for some nameless, faceless person five weeks down the supply chain.) The trouble with capitalism is that it leaves behind those who can’t, won’t, or simply fail to compete — the welfare rolls, etc.

REMEMBER  when stocks crashed in April? At the time, I suggested buying machinery “like Caterpillar” and materials/mines. As I write this, Cat is up 28.5 %, and Teck B is up 31 %. Of course, many stocks went up even further.

I told friends before that Israel should have struck June 6, not June 8, because June 6 is the war winning day. (D-Day and the Six Day war began June 6.)

Israel‘s bombing campaign, and that of the US, some say, failed to destroy or bury Iran’s nuclear fuels. An initial report said that all those trucks lined up to take the enriched uranium away to hide it elsewhere were at Fordow June 6. (Where they could have easily been bombed and wiped out.) I rest my case.

By the way, how did Iran know to move that enriched uranium? We justly praise Israel‘s Mossad for their sometimes incredibly successful intelligence and undercover activities. But it appears Iran has its spies also. They knew the attack was coming.

Now we are all left in an uncomfortable suspense.

Estimates of how quickly Iran could now build an atomic bomb range from  several months to — if Trump HAS buried Fordow’s uranium — 10 years. I think Israel will go into Iran again, simply because Iran will not quit. In an earlier article, I wrote that Iran’s chart (for this regime) could be called “the eternal warrior.” Until there is a regime change or the regime changes its own behaviour dramatically (extremely unlikely, would go against all the K’s dogma) Iran will continue on a violent course.

When every creature does what is most natural to it, nature thrives. But what if nature was intricately intertwined with our brains, and hence our viewpoint, ideas, inventions and leaps in consciousness? (Which of course it is — try to separate Nature from our brains.)

We all know fashions change, in colours and clothes, in cars, etc. To some degree, we think of this as superficial. We never consider fashion, for instance, to be profound. – Unless we’re in the industry, of course.

But all these changes in fashion have what appears at first to be a mirror image, although on a more elevated or celebrated scale: changes in science occur with virtually the same regularity as fads and fashions. This used to be much more obvious in the early days of science (and medicine). Now, however, science has grown so quickly both ahead and laterally, has sown so many fields with new answers and new questions, that any changes/fads will be numerous, splintered and difficult to track down or to keep an overview of. This is probably a healthy development.

Usually, at least until the last 40 years, changes in scientific fashion or thought occurred more slowly than changes in popular style. But I suspect the slow roll-put of fashion’s advances, in both pop culture and science, has same biological origin, the same organic drive. In some senses, these two — popular style and science —  hold hands across a void — of what?

The mystery of what creates these intervals of and changes in all fashion and knowledge, is one that will probably be studied if it isn’t already. Whatever their mechanisms, these changes generally benefit mankind, and contribute to its progress.(*)

If you doubt the natural origins of fashion, think about this: When many animals change their hair or fur to adjust to winter and summer, when some even change their colour as Arctic hares do, is that fashion? Or is it simply an imprinted natural pipeline in the rabbits DNA or some such? Is there a similar though more complicated and evolving DNA instruction in our nature? We too change our coats in the summer and the winter, though unlike  the hare we have 1000 coats to choose from for 100 types of weather.

(*) Picasso showed humanity what a woman’s grief was really like in a way no one had understood before. In a sense, he achieved this by studying and utilizing many artistic methods and fashions of the past and of Africa. Picasso’s “fashion” revealed female grief in a way that has surely affected millions of viewers, and hence helped raise humanity’s empathy and compassion.

The thing is, Elon is right about Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill. And he’s right to stand up against it. But he doesn’t understand politics, and he’s not really a politician. The reason he gets dramatic and crazy on stage — remember the chainsaw – is that he is actually very shy and sensitive.  Acting normally on stage I think would be hard for him. He does well in television, interviews, etc.,. Perhaps his background in engineering and computers let him feel at ease in the TV and audio studio settings.

Trump has become a politician – he gets what he can get. But Musk  is too logical, idealistic and somewhat ignorant of crowd behaviour to last long as a pol.

***

BTW, when I was criticizing Biden‘s border practice and repeating my advice of 23 years ago about how to handle immigrants to turn them into honest God-fearing taxpayers, nobody listened. Oh well. It occurred to me recently that Trump could at least do a partial processing as I had suggested for the border. All he has to do is announce a general honesty amnesty to all illegal immigrants for one month. During that month, if they came in and volunteered for a processing, they would be given a Social Security number and a bottle booklet in their native language constructing them. With the SS number, what to ask or tell employer, etc. The bucket also explains if they spend the next five years in United States and do not commit a two misdemeanours and have worked and paid taxes for at least four of those five years and filed every year of the five etc. they would be granted citizenship and all it entails.

Trump actually started doing something like this yesterday – or at least the media reported it yesterday – he is giving farm and I think meat processor and some other kind of labourer, essentially the option to stay in America, register and get a Social Security number and start paying taxes. I’m not sure if there’s a citizenship component in there or not. There should be; it’s a good incentive. I think he should expand that program nationwide to all the illegals. During the processing, hopefully, gang members and other felons would be recognized and sent to door B.

ICE would cease their operations for that month. I chose a month because it gives people enough time to take it in, ponder and make a decision. There will be some early takers; they will tell the others that nothing negative happen to them and that they have been promised citizenship. This should cause a rolling increase in applicants. If at the end of the month, the applicants were at or near a peak, then the period could be extended for an entire year. But it would also be stated that after that year, no more working citizenships would be allowed.

In America, the Democrats have been criminal, cruel, vicious and intent on destroying the lives of people who don’t agree with them.

Now, their party is falling apart, and they’re calling the communists to save them. (E.g., Boston Mayor Wu, an Asian, has brought 6 members of China’s communist party into her orbit, as advisors. There are many other instances of such cooperation.)
