PREAMBLE:
Guess what? A collection of my short stories has been “published” on Amazon and a couple of other sites. It’s called “Stories From the Other Eye.” You can Kindle it, or order a paperback or hardcover. (To find it, just go to “Amazon” on the internet, then type in: “Book – Stories From the Other Eye.”)
A warning: the stories are not what you might expect from reading this astrology blog. (Well, there are psychics in a couple of the stories — and an astrologer in one.) I once showed a girl I was attracted to a copy of a story I’d had published in a fiction anthology — after she read it, she wanted nothing to do with me. (It’s in this collection, called “Nursing.”)
That’s just to say the stories are gritty, the sex and violence is graphic. Read at your own peril! (But to be fair, only perhaps one-tenth of the material is sexual or violence-portraying.) One critic, I don’t know who (maybe a professional blurb writer for Amazon?) wrote that my stories were not escapism; they were excavations. “A searing, dreamlike mosaic of fractured lives…” This critic (or blurb writer) wrote that “Stories” was comparable to Raymond Carver, Haruki Murakami and Flannery O’Connor.

Liaise with gov’t or head office. Last week your ruling planet, Neptune, entered Aries for a 13-year sojourn. For the duration, you will become hyper-focussed on earnings and possessions. You’ll become more open to casual intimacy. You might also become more militant, assertive. In two weeks Saturn will join Neptune in Aries, for 2 years. This will make you optimistic about money and possessions, and will imbue social settings with $ potential. Tackle chores Sunday to late suppertime Monday (PST) — there are climaxes here, or opportunities involving work, employment. (But gov’t, management positions are not available.) AFTERAMBLE:
This is not to assign guilt or innocence, but merely to point out an interesting fact: both people recently killed by ICE in Minneapolis had Aries first names: Renee and Alex. (R and A are the Aries letters.) As you know, Aries is the sign of violence, aggression and war. Renee, guilty or not, did try to run down an ICE pedestrian, and Alex, guilty or otherwise, did carry a loaded pistol with extra ammunition. In both instances, my reading is that they flirted with danger, and the consequences overwhelmed them. Otherwise, Alex, why would you bring a loaded gun and extra ammo to a public protest?
I suspect both Alex and Renee were fantasizing before the day, and flirting with danger on the day. Remember, Renee was commanding a two ton vehicle, and driving it against orders, while the ICE personnel, including the one she ran into, were on foot. Alex was not standing idly by when ICE agents stormed him — he was actively interfering with ICE, to rescue a fellow protester.
Both victims’ families issued statements praising their dead member as kind, gentle, glorious, good, moral, and a host of other saintly qualities. But conservative sources claim lesbian Renee abandoned two children, and beat the youngest, a boy. These might be lies.
Alex was a nurse — but that doesn’t make him a saint. Nurse serial killers are abundant in recent history.
Just saying…a little doubt about guilt or innocence is a good thing.

And these people blowing their whistles everywhere that ICE goes as a harassing and warning action — the feds have much stronger “whistles” (up to, and including the sonic waves that disabled Majuro’s troops a month ago) — why don’t they use them? If it’s okay for protesters, it should be okay with ICE officers.
