AFTERAMBLE:
God is a collection of every consciousness in the universe. “God” is also that same immense collection dancing in immense, unimaginable cooperation. I keep wanting to add the word control, then keep pulling back from it. Is there control? Are we controlled? Is the universe controlled, and if the terms of the planets and the tides of the Galaxy are pre-determined enough to be calculated by humans, isn’t that control? And who is doing the controlling? Is there a controlling God? Or does this great consciousness control itself?
I vote for the latter.
Is our destiny karmic and yet still destined? Has each of us, or perhaps our humankind as a whole, been controlled, even say, with one slight touch of direction in the earliest day? If so, I have to believe that this control was/is of a benevolent nature. The proof of this surrounds us. Mankind has advanced strongly over the millennia, in medicine, law, equality, quality of life, etc. — Though in many ways, it is striking to see how “ present” or relevant or similar ancient generations could be to our present level. For example, the caveman‘s mind functioned 17,000 years ago, but the cave drawings are astoundingly intelligent and sophisticated. Often, you can see that within the modern version of something lies an original idea/perception from the distant past. For example, autos, trains, and almost every machine contain wheels. But the idea of the wheel lies so far back that we don’t even know when – or what –it was. It could have been rolling logs.

The lunar south node hit 8° Virgo February 15, and will stay in that degree until April 16. When I was born, Mars was in 8° Virgo.
With Jupiter transiting Cancer and touching my Mercury and Venus, I’ve been quite sociable and pleasant, even happy over the last year. But awhile ago this pleasantness wore thin as I started receiving more scowls. I inadvertently dropped myself down a notch, even two notches to the point where I was rude to sales people and drove aggressively. That little south node was right on my birth Mars at 8° Virgo when this shift in mood occurred. So I’m trying to be nicer now.
The node doesn’t have to hit something directly to influence you. For example, for 18 months – January 2025 to July 2026 — ending in three months – many Geminis will dream of selling/buying real estate. Some deals, some listings might seem tempting. In fact, the whole concept of ending a situation and starting with another, which could involve relocation, can appeal to you now. It’s a trap. When the south node is in your fourth sign, as it is now for Geminis, it is one of the worst times to deal in any kind of real estate, and one of the best times to seek prominence in your career. But you might be sorely tempted to sell that home or buy that home. My advice is: do nothing before August.

Uranus is virtually in Gemini, it slips in technically at 5:50 pm PDT April 25. Uranus controls the nervous system, and I’m a Gemini. For the past week, I have tripped, stumbled, dropped things, accidentally thrown things, etc. For instance, I unwrapped a new bar of soap yesterday. Somehow it bounced out of my hand onto the floor, so I bent to pick it up, but I knocked over a glass of water as I bent. I have always had tremors, and I’m quite used to dropping things, etc., but never at this rate. This is like four times normal. Uranus, calm down!

When you’re young, you smell every flower, every tree, every lawn as you walk by. When you get older your senses dim, like a flashlight with a dying battery. What was white becomes yellow. So that newly mowed lawn doesn’t nudge up to fill your nostrils, almost intimately, with a deep scent of bruised grass. Instead, it visits for a moment, says hello and might trigger memories of other lawns. Then it’s gone, no deep impressions made.
I think this process might be largely mental, and that when one has other more practical things or many other things to consider , deadlines to meet, etc., one’s attention is often drawn away from immediate natural stimuli such as a freshly mowed lawn. Many men enter this stage of suppressed stimuli reaction, or maybe of other focussed stimuli reactions, in their 40s, even 30s. — much earlier than would occur in a non-competitive, none-ambition-driven society. In the natural progress of aging, sensory loss should start in your late 70s or 80s (I think ; I’m no expert).
One of the roots of social drinking might lie in the stress caused by refocusing — in the alcoholic, the refusal to refocus.

The Guthrie lady in California, whose mom Nancy was kidnapped or went missing a couple of months ago. So the daughter, Savannah, who is a well-known national television personality, after months of grief and bruised hopes, has said that she is disappointed in God, and that her faith has been shaken, and she’s not sure it will recover.(I’m paraphrasing.)
This reveals a basic misconception of God, one that is shared by millions of people, especially after the concept was given a boost in the 1970s-1990s by television evangelists spreading the word that belief in Jesus will lead to prosperity on earth. Jesus himself would not have supported that argument. I think the closest he got to ownership and prosperity was when he said the meek will inherit the Earth.
Nor is God there to save us from disaster. Our lives flow according to karma. Karma, like all things, is a part of God, but to interfere with karma is to interfere with the very structures of existence. And I suspect the structures of existence are God.
I could say we are meant to follow this or that path, but that would imply control at some stage. Rather, we were created and then left alone to develop on our own. Maybe an unconscious memory of first being left alone, right after not being left alone, from warm to cold. The yearning for the state of not being left alone created our concept of God. There it shone, just beyond our reach. Maybe this unconscious memory made us feel the guilt of abandonment, the guilt of what Catholics call the original sin.
(Although I think a stronger candidate for the original sin, was the eating of meat or eggs. We continue this sin today. We imprison and slaughter billions of animals – creatures who are conscious and aware. That may not be quite as bad as homicide, but it’s approaching.)
However, the horizon might not be that dark.

If Trump does decide to go into Iran with boots on the ground, the first thing he should do is bomb every bridge in the nation – that might take two or three days. This will divide Iran into semi autonomous regions. This makes it easier for some citizens to revolt. It also limits Iran’s army and GRC movements. The less an enemy can move the more vulnerable he is. This might be accompanied with air drops of rifles and ammunition scattered over Iran — hopefully the population will get most of them.

Where there is inequality, such as in a hierarchy, there is peace. Where there is equality, often there is competition. I noticed this in a road crew today – the men who are about equal in status, the gravel truck driver and the steamroller driver -– they spent sometime “playing,” yelling at each other, laughing and joking. But in an interaction between two unequal people, a labourer and the steamroller driver, or between this driver and an engineer, their behaviour is greatly muted.
Thus the calming power of the hierarchy. That equality can cause division and competition is apparent in the most equality – oriented nation in the world: the USA, where division, at least presently, rages like a winter fire.
