WEEK AHEAD — SUN SIGNS:

As noted last week, the planet Venus is retrograde, and will stay that way till November 13. TAURUS and LIBRA will be most affected. In general, love slows down, or returns from the past.

Mercury retrogrades next week, into mid-November. So DON’T start new projects now (unless they’re so small and short you can finish them in a couple of days this week.

***

ARIES, explore, sensitively and diplomatically, the more hidden or secret sides of a relationship, either in sex or money, the first three days. Late Tuesday through Thursday is intellectually stimulating, good for love and travel. Be ambitious Friday/Saturday.

TAURUS, relationships fell Sunday to Tuesday. Be hopeful but sensitive. Sex and /or money, research and investment are potent and good midweek. Friday/Saturday brings new ideas, understanding, maybe travel.

GEMINI, tackle chores, Sunday to Tuesday. Eat, dress sensibly. Relationships fill mid week, and good luck abounds in these. Invest, share secrets, research, protect your health Friday/Saturday — be cautious in all these.

CANCER, romance, beauty and creativity and charming kids fail the first three days. Midweek brings chores and slightly low health. Fri./Sat. need care, as relationships tend to unbalance.

LEO, be domestic, attend to family, and home Sunday to Tuesday. Mid week is for romance – and your luck is good! Tackle chores Friday/Saturday — practice, safety, especially around chemicals.

VIRGO, communications are important the first three days — reread everything before you send it as mistakes or unintended insults might occur. Be home mid week, hug the spouse and kids. Friday/Saturday are for romance and creativity – but the results are probably not splendid.

LIBRA, your energy is high all week, even though you feel delayed or indecisive about taking important actions. Buy/sell items, or embrace a casual lover, Sunday to Tuesday. Mid week is for travel, communications and paperwork – all good. Friday/Saturday is very domestic. Rest, but don’t believe everything you think or imagine.

SCORPIO, your energy and charisma are high Sunday to Tuesday. Be aware of obstacles, but do something fairly important. Mid week is definitely lucky for money and possessions. (Maybe casual sex also.) Friday/Saturday is for communications, paperwork and travel — but double check everything before hitting the send button.

SAGITTARIUS, lie low, rest and contemplate the first three days. Your energy and charisma soar mid-week — get things done! Chase money, and possessions Fri./Sat., but cautiously as subtle obstacles exist.

CAPRICORN, Sunday to Tuesday is very social, and you will feel optimism about future projects. However, go slow and don’t make firm plans. Midweek, retreat, rest and contemplate, seek advice or government aid, and make long-term plans. (Eg. for  next year.) Your energy and charisma shoot upward Friday/Saturday. You get your way, but you might be mistaken about what your way should be.

AQUARIUS, be ambitious and show your best side to higher ups Sunday to Tuesday, but avoid arguments. Mid week is social and fortunate. Love thrives and friendship thrives. Approach someone! Retreat, Friday/Saturday. Rest, find a quiet place, and don’t worry too much, all will work out.

PISCES, the first three days are intellectually stimulating, and might trigger love, travel, school success. Still, proceed with some caution. Be ambitious midweek – higher up favour you so it’s a great time to approach them with your ideas or desires. Friday/Saturday bring friends and groups, wishes and optimism, and perhaps light romance. But the luck is low, so don’t expect a lot.

AFTERWORDS:

Why is James Talarico pulling ahead of Ken Paxton in Texas? Why is that Muslim guy pulling ahead of Rogers in Michigan? Why did Karen Bass defeat that Chris fellow in the LA mayoral race? It all comes down to charisma and gravitas, which is a form of charisma. Bass and Talarico and that Muslim guy all have charisma, whereas their three opponents lack it. The American voter cares more about charisma than about facts or factual reality. There is a certain wisdom in this. The electorate is seeking a deeper truth than the factual one. An emotional truth? A psychic truth?

If in her birth chart, any woman, no matter her sign, if her moon is in the third sign below her own – for example, a Leo with a Libra moon or a Scorpio with a Capricorn moon —  she will be very verbal — and restless. It is similar in a man’s chart, but less so, since the moon applies more strongly to women than men.

There are some degrees here: an Aries with a Gemini moon will probably talk more boldly and incessantly than say, a Scorpio with a Capricorn moon, or a Capricorn with a Pisces moon. Still, people with this combination will talk much more than the peers in her sign.

Scorpio is the sign of silence, but a Scorpio with a Capricorn moon is likely to find a quiet dark place, corner you in it and start talking, perhaps with some urgency, as if plans were afoot.

This is one side of the moon and the third sign. If you don’t have this in your chart – many don’t – you can get a taste of it by watching your life and yourself when the moon is travelling through the third sign from your own. To locate this sign, count your own as number one, then two, and then three — counter-clockwise.

I’ve already given you some examples of this combination above. A few others are Taurus- Cancer, Gemini – Leo, cancer – Virgo, libra – Sagittarius, Sagittarius – Aquarius, Aquarius – Aries, and finally Pisces with a Taurus moon.

There are also many virtues and advantages of the “third sign moon.” if you were born with this aspect, you could be an excellent dispatcher, 911 operator – you deal well with emergencies, your friends will probably back me up with that – writer, comedy writer, comedian, not so much a journalist as an opinion columnist, driver, operator, computer programmer, school teacher, Weaver, knitter – anything using the hands. This aspect also makes you curious and friendly, which ensures you’ll always have someone to talk to or share with.

***

I won’t tell you how right now, but you can also use the above  method for any placement of the moon. For instance, if the moon is in the second sign from the sun, the person will be possessive, practical and materialistic, sensual, and  often can be swayed by music. So if you wanna ask a favour, put his or her favourite album on first, or take her to a concert. Timing is important here.

Or say the moon is in the sun’s 10th sign (e.g., Aries to Capricorn — always number the signs counterclockwise) — then she will be ambitious, diplomatic, ultra-practical but suave, with a velvet approach.

***

There are additional shades of meaning in any aspect, depending on the number of degrees difference between a perfect aspect, e.g. a 90° square, and the aspect that exists at a certain time. This is my discovery, so I don’t think you’ll see it promoted by any other astrologer.

Here’s a clue: if an aspect is 3° from completing, no matter what the aspect, it — or the meaning of the aspect — refers to the third sign, or has a third house way of operating. And an aspect 8° from completion when a chart is drawn  or a certain event takes place — for instance a square of 82 degrees, whereas the perfect square is 90° — this aspect will tend to work itself out in a secretive or change-oriented or sexual way. That’s enough of a clue. I’ll explain more in a future column.

About six months or a year ago, I predicted that the Democrat party would lose the midterms in November, and that sometime down the road the Dems would form two parties.

Much earlier, in the 1980s, I predicted that capitalism and communism both would recede, or absorb part of the other. Ultimately that would lead to a third system of governing .

The recent communization of roughly 1/2 of the Democratic Party to form the DSA, takes one step toward the two parties I predicted — and starts to bring the 1980s prediction closer to true. However, I might have been wrong in one crucial respect: that the Democrats would lose the 2026 midterms. I’m just waiting to see and making no predictions. What I never expected has occurred: the Democrats to a large degree have nominated charismatic vote chasers, while the Republicans have relied on logic, record, explanation, and everything else that does not attract voters. It’s a major mistake, and one that could cost them. (It’s the old Kennedy-Nixon mistake.) Did the DSA not exist, the Republicans would have won because it would have been suit and tie guys against suit and tie guys. But in many races now, a republican, generally an older suit and tie guy,  against a surging , well muscled, young, handsome and charismatic contender who has just burst onto the scene, and who promises a New World of security and freedom – freedom from medical bills and college tuition, for instance. Who is likely to win?

If, not immediately but over, say, 20 elections, the DSA or other communistic groups become the governing party, only later will the electorate realize that everything is sluggish, no one works hard, groceries, meat and other goods remain cheap, but empty shelves start to appear. And a quiet, pressing calm has descended on the nation, like one too many blankets on your bed.

The DSA is riding the Zeitgeist – or the DSA IS the Zeitgeist of today.

If my 1980s predictions are right, then there’s not an extreme need to fear the DSA and its progeny, should they appear. That prediction forecast a blending of communism and capitalism that would eliminate them both, while supplanting them with a new third system. In other words, though the DSA or any other communist/fascist party might make worrisome, even terrific gains, they will not, in a sense, be able to control more than half of a situation.

I called the DSA both communist and fascist, because they are both. On the communist side, they want free medical for all, free education, a minimum wage hike, etc. On the fascist side, they hate Jews, spread false propaganda against them, are generally against civil liberties, and they are, as the left always has been historically, violent. Some things embrace both communism and fascism: the indoctrination of the young, medical experimentation on children, the drive toward uniformity, for example.

And some things are either 1000 years ahead of their time, or simply lunatic: emptying the prisons, having no police, encouraging men to play in women’s sports – in essence, encouraging men to beat up women. This is more heinous and anti-life  than it seems: in nature, man is bigger and stronger than woman in order to protect the woman. The woman bears the child. The child is the only method for our species to continue. Since this is the primary goal of our existence, to produce and raise children, the man is obviously designed – bigger and stronger – to protect this most prime value, the mother and child.

By encouraging men to play in women’s sports, the left is actually directly contradicting the natural roles of both men and women. This defiance of nature, this spitting in god’s  face, also brought us, courtesy of the left and Biden, widespread mutilation of children’s sex organs by surgery and drugs, kindergarten classes taught by purposely outrageous transsexuals, all to please an incestuous, paedophile president.

And who brought up the term “toxic masculinity?” This was an earlier attempt by the elite left to erode the male role, to see the male role as bad, negative, to be repulsed, even in little boys. (The toxic part of the male was anything that was masculine.) Here’s the rub: women and men must get along for the survival of humanity. But one way for one party to alienate the other party that they must cooperate with, is to call them toxic. As far as I could see for the last 40 years plus, more toxicity has come from women than from men. Remember “Me too,” and all the men it tried to ruin (Trump included) – and succeeded in some cases. An interesting few facts: many more leftist women are single than right of Centre women. More leftist women are under psychiatric care than those on the right. More leftist women kill their children than those on the right.

In astrology, everything adds. Even two contrasting things/forces seldom compete. Instead, often these seemingly contrasting influences will tend to merge on their own to produce a third effect. For example, you might be born with moon square Mars – often considered a bad aspect, bringing a volatile temper, even violence. (I have Moon square Mars, and I lose my temper a lot — not with those close, but with City Hall, with meter maids, incompetent or uncaring clerks, etc.) In fact, the bad temper or violence is actually a living form/proof that the two energies have combined, even without the person’s conscious awareness. Mars is violent, but  not temperamental. It loves fighting, but almost as a game or a life purpose. It is very seldom tied to anger. The moon is not violent, but it is temperamental.

Obviously, this can be a daunting or relationship-diminishing aspect in a birth chart. Almost every day becomes a fight or challenge in someway or another, from the large — a fight, verbal or physical – to as small as giving the gas pedal an extra tap to get through that yellow light, or dreaming of a confrontation in your thoughts.

But this “bad” aspect (Moon square Mars) has some good sides, which someone with this in their chart would be smart to follow. For instance, it makes excellent – well not on its own, but gives very good support for/to – doctors, especially surgeons, engineers, editors, tree/plant pruners, garment cutters, and operators of as well as designers of any equipment with sharp edges or a cutting feature. Heavy duty mechanic or operator.

If your Mars is above your moon, say Mars in the 11th and moon in the 2nd bitch, one of the best things you can do is to use Mars energy or Mars related actions to pursue your ambitions – especially ambitions that you sense, if fulfilled, will bring a new, fresh and higher level of security (Moon’s involvement).

If on the other hand the Moon is above your Mars, you might frequently get into disputes in the home. Two clues  here: be diplomatic, and have a good sense of humour.

With Moon “upper square” to Mars it’s possible that you will aim for a moon related career – raising children, agriculture and all food service businesses, including restaurants, security firms, stock brokers and financial firms, real estate, home builders, bathroom and kitchen designs, demolition and firefighting, and (to some degree)  forestry, mining, and fishing.

All the above is not only general, but at most only 1/4 or 1/3 of the potential effects of a Moon-Mars square. Very much depends upon the signs involved, and the houses. For example, a square between the 11th and second houses, could turn into a group fighting over money. But if the square was from the first to the fourth house, the argument would be over dominance, who is in charge, and/or security, the home, the children. That’s a big difference in situations.

Secondly, an Aries Mars is very different from a Taurus Mars, and their squares, going downward or counterclockwise, are cancer and Leo – again two very different signs, which will have different reactions. (An Aries Mars with a cancer moon is the most natural, and in many ways, most beneficial of these squares.)

And, the rest of the chart must be taken into Account also. Is one of these squared planets protected by a trine from the sun? Or made even worse by Saturn squaring one of the two?

I gambled a little bit in my youth, but it never really hooked me. Now I find gambling boring. Last time I was in Vegas with a friend, I was bored silly.

I watch Amazon drivers deliver packages here at least four or five times a day.  Amazon could be more democratic and capitalist, and encourage their drivers to be more independent and ambitious with one innovation: Amazon itself puts a price on every package proportional to its weight, size and distance of delivery, and in some cases complexity of delivery. Drivers then choose their own packages. And doing so, they tend to concentrate in one area, and will probably choose the most efficient routes. They also will choose their packages so as to maximize their income per hour. This would probably benefit some drivers, and would be likely to benefit Amazon because drivers will then be competing for packages and routes, which can drive the price down for Amazon. On the other hand, an experienced and clever driver might double his income under this new arrangement.

Two things will need to be addressed: what if some packages end up as orphans? No one wants them. Again, the market should rule: Amazon will have to lower the price until it gets a driver.

And two, of course it will take some computer re-organizing. And three, actually, the time element has to be recognized. For example, no package can be orphaned for more than a short set period of time, maybe three hours or four hours — short enough to allow the package to be delivered within Amazon guarantees. I think that’s 24 hours, but I don’t really know. I don’t buy from Amazon. I don’t really like to live digitally, and one of the pleasures of shutting down the weekly Sun signs column, is that I don’t have to format the column every week. It would take me an agonizing half hour to hour every time, with me on the edge of my frightened seat the entire time.

My idea from a year or two ago, that our muscles go into action before we think we are voluntarily asking them to — for example, if I reach down to the table to pick up my glasses, my arm was already starting to go in that direction before I thought of picking up my glasses. In other words, my muscle knew what I was going to do before I did. So who or what part of us is really controlling our muscles?

This brings up additional intriguing questions. What does the fact that our hand moves before our conscious mind tells it to — what does this say about our perception of reality? Or what does it even say about reality?

***

These things I know to be true: the afterlife, psychic intelligence, psychic healing (*) and ability to see/experience the future. What this means about time and reality and/or our perception, I haven’t a clue.

(When I was a young adult, I feared going  to heaven because the word was that it was infinite, and being in heaven was an infinite state. I knew I simply couldn’t stand the boredom of infinity, even if it was pleasurable. Think of living on earth to the age of 100. Now think of living to the age of 1000 — before even 1000 years you would be bored to tears. You’d want to kill yourself. Now think of living for 50 trillion years, or 100 million million trillion trillion years. I was scared to die, to enter the prison of unending life. The puzzle was solved when I began to meditate and channel in the 1980’s. Several times my guide took me to the afterlife. There I saw that there is no time. Infinity is an instant, and vice-versa.)

Actually, I had a slightly longer list: Karma is also undeniable, and is intricately woven, but there is something beyond karma. I know from experience that wishes do come true. But here’s a choice in belief: If your wish does come true, does this mean some God or universal wish department warps/changes experience, reality and everyone around you, in order to fulfil your wish? (This would violate one of those Star Trek commands, that you don’t interfere.) Or is your wish itself merely a psychic foretelling of an event that’s going to occur anyway? I prefer the latter explanation, mainly because I can’t really picture a universe in which a God or force or intelligence would somehow alter the universe — and brave the ripple effects — merely to grant the perhaps idle wish of some human being.

Elon Musk recently said that Alberta, Saskatchewan and Quebec should separate from Canada. I doubt that any of these will happen soon. But if I had my druthers, I would have BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan separate and form their own nation. These three provinces have long been ignored, robbed and bullied by the massively populated Ontario and Quebec. Adding BC, of course, would give the new little nation plenty of ocean access. I would not welcome Quebec into this coterie of separation, though. I would not shed a tear if that whole province fell into the ocean and drowned. (Well, spare my son in Montreal.) Quebec has for decades spit in the face of the western oil producers by refusing to allow any pipelines to or through their province. The two most prejudiced, biased populations I have ever met are Blacks in the U.S., and Quebecers. I am of Irish descent. To Quebecers that makes me a White N*****. (I am sure some, many Muslims are just as hostile, unjust and prejudiced, but I’m only friends with one, so I can’t be certain.)

I agree with Biden in one respect: I believe in open borders. I believe in the freedom of all men, women and children. That includes a freedom from national boundaries. And yet I support Trump and applaud what he did at the border (shutting out migrants). Here’s the problem: that world without borders where  anyone can live and work and love in any place on earth will occur – but not for at least 100 years, more likely in the 23rd or 24th century. Or beyond, what do I know? It will not occur swiftly, I think, because it’s an organic change, not a political one.

The trouble is, you can’t live a future life in your present, without dislocating your reality — which is what the Dems are trying to do, along with the dislocation. First you have to improve upon the present so that it moves you closer to that – at present idealistic –  goal. You have to work and pay taxes and buy a house with a yard and fall in love and produce children. These are the essential Republican desires and goals. Republicans want to use and enjoy life on earth in a practical, conservative way; after that, if there’s time, idealistic scenarios can be contemplated. (As long as they don’t violate tradition, the constitution, etc.)

Both Republicans and Democrats highly value  children, but Republicans are more fruitful and family oriented. That last, family, gives a person, a solid sense of reality and an insulating security, both in the family dynamic, and in the native’s own consciousness.

Although there will always be variations, in general Democrats believe in killing babies when they are inconvenient, whereas Republicans have a more religious  bias against such action. Republicans are basic, Democrats are sophisticated.

Both parties also highly value the guiding and educating of children. The left has, for a long time, been active in educating children and youth politically while the right basically slept. The right does not have an affinity to scholarship and professorship and teaching, because the Republican bias is toward material success, and scholarship seldom offers a delicious wage. So  the ranks of learners and professors are packed with leftists. As are the populations of elementary and secondary teachers, who themselves have been taught by leftist profs. Not every school and certainly not every teacher, but a majority.

So young, idealistic people fill the ranks of the DSA, the Kiefer wearers and Palestinian lovers.

In one way the DSA falls victim to the time dislocation mentioned above; it believes it can live that future life right now,  that time of empty prisons, no crimes and no police, and  humanity free to flow  across only symbolic borders. This produces scepticism in most people over 40, but not amongst the young. (I think – I’m a terrible researcher/historian.)
