WEEKLY FORECAST:

aries icon  ARIES:  March 21-April 19

You face a bit more work for the next four weeks, Aries. However, Venus enters your romance sign Monday, to stay until September 19. This will promote affectionate relations all around, but especially in romantic situations. If you’re married, the same period will bless your interactions with your mate and children. Your home (and real estate in general) is undergoing a very fortunate phase until the end of June next year. (This is one of the best times in over a decade to buy a home, land, farm, commercial real estate, etc. If you don’t have a down payment, it is still an excellent time to find a better rental.) Now to late September, partnerships, marriage, dealings with the public, opportunities and opposition, relocation themes, all are emphasized. If we combine this with the Venus affection described above, single Aries might be on the path to marriage. Tackle chores Sunday – you’ll get the job done. Dawn Monday (PDT) to supper time Wednesday, those partnerships, public dealings, opportunities etc. are highlighted. There is some deception and pushback Mon. morning, but the rest of this interval is fortunate and happy — BUT very late Tuesday might bring a bit of alienation, or a feeling of destined love. Which, depends on your birth chart. Life’s deep and sexy side emerges Wednesday night to pre-dawn Saturday. Be cautious very early, earlier than dawn, Thursday. Plunge in, to find secrets, profitable tricks, lucrative investments. Dig deep for treasure, and reject unethical temptations. Saturday is for love, friendships, travel, learning, philosophy and media. All is well, so float along!

taurus icon  TAURUS:  April 20-May 20

Ah, sweet romance, Taurus! This, and creative, inventive, sports/games, beauty, and teaching happy children, fill the four weeks ahead. At the same time, your home will be a place of affection and mild good luck. You might or might not have noticed over the last two months that your earned income or spending habits have become kind of erratic. This condition will last for seven years. On the bright side, this influence offers tremendous upside in prestige and career earnings. Sunday to pre-dawn Monday (PDT) highlights all that romance and creative stuff. Tackle chores and deal with tools/machinery dawn Monday to suppertime Wednesday. Eat and dress sensibly. You might have some health complaint or face an unsafe situation Monday morning, but the rest of this interval flows smoothly. (You might need to handle a decision whether to support your home or your career — make your choice without worry.) Relationships fill Wednesday night to pre-dawn Saturday. Be cautious predawn Thursday; otherwise, be diplomatic but charge ahead, especially if you’re seeking a partner or an agreement. Saturday is for mysteries, deep sexual attractions, and lifestyle changes — all good.

gemini icon  GEMINI:  May 21-June 20

The weeks ahead focus on home, family, security and mother nature, Gemini. This will be a time to prune both your gardens and your relationship situations. Get rid of the old, cut off stale unproductive branches, and plant new things — projects, relationships, even homes. Sunday to dawn Monday emphasizes this fruitful domestic influence. At the same time, travel and communications are also active and beneficial. (Typical Gemini duality!) You have a strong romantic drive through late September (22nd) but your domestic situation might not help. You will feel this romantic influence from Monday morning to supper time Wednesday (PDT). Be careful Monday morning: dejection and deception could lurk. It’s doubtful a present romance will turn to marriage, but it sure will be a powerful experience! One possible exception: if you meet someone very late Tuesday or very early Wednesday, this person MIGHT be a destined mate. (Or a very determined rejecter.) Tackle chores and guard your daily health Wednesday night to dawn Saturday. You can accomplish a lot during this interval, but be a little careful around midnight Wednesday (PDT) when emotional disappointments could lead to safety lapses at work. Saturday is for relationships, discovery, opportunities and fresh horizons — some sweet, good stuff here.

Cancer icon  CANCER:  June 21-July 22

The four weeks ahead focus on travel, errands, casual acquaintances, communications and paperwork, Cancer. These should go fairly well. Your daily money or earned income picture looks good, right into late September. Also until late September, your domestic situation can hold some friction. (Has since the first week of August.) Be patient and long suffering and remember, this is one of your luckiest years in a decade! (But to take advantage of it, you must not neglect your health and you must be willing to work harder, because these two things can expand through next June.) Sunday to Monday dawn (PDT) emphasizes everything in the first sentence above — travel, errands, etc. Dive in, results will be good. The focus changes to your home and family Monday morning to supper time Wednesday. Be careful Monday morning, when rejection or deception is possible. Otherwise, charge ahead. You might find a financial opening or opportunity late Tuesday, or a closed door. Either way, see this as a precursor, but not as a major event in itself. Romance (or a creative, speculative, pleasure and beauty-hunting or sports urge) strikes Wednesday night to dawn Saturday — a gratifying interval, but be cautious very late Wednesday (PDT) when affections in general are rejected. Saturday is for chores and daily health cures (e.g., aspirins). A disruption or fresh idea Saturday morning.

Leo icon  LEO:  July 23-Aug. 22

The focus lies on money, possessions, casual sex and book learning for the next few weeks, Leo. Buy/sell, collect and pay. On the physical side, you are mildly blessed in intimate clinches until September 19 — others find you more attractive than usual during this time. (No bad hair days!) Relationships, communications, short travel and paperwork are a source of inspiration and perhaps profound new ideas until September 22. Until the end of June 2026, you are blessed in management roles and in liaison with government or head office or institutions. Sunday to Monday dawn (PDT) highlights money, possessions, etc. Monday morning to suppertime Wednesday brings errands, travel, paperwork and communications. Be cautious Monday morning, when mistakes and refusals can occur. Otherwise, march ahead. Tuesday, or very early Wednesday, you might either end a relationship or begin a very significant one. Either way, you are dealing with destiny. (That significant one might or might not last very long, but it has something to teach you or somewhere to take you.) Head for home, at least in your heart, Wednesday night to Saturday dawn. Rest, contemplate, hug your family and putter around. All is well, except Wednesday midnight to very early Thursday, when rejection or just bad luck could occur. Saturday is for romance, beauty and pleasure, spectacle, creativity and a bit of a gamble. You might meet someone this morning who would make a good, friendly lover.

virgo icon  VIRGO:  Aug. 23-Sept. 22

This is your time, Virgo! Your energy, charisma, effectiveness and clout are at an annual high for the next few weeks. Take advantage – get out, see and be seen, start new projects, ask favours, seek out people who can help you, and take bold steps towards your goals. Money flows to you very swiftly until late September – but it will also flow away from you just as fast if you don’t control spending and debts. Your involvements with the government or institutions or management levels where you work will yield surprisingly pleasant results until September 19. In addition, this whole year (ending late June 2026) opens the doors to social delights, increased popularity, and a dream or two coming true! Friends you make now might later prove instrumental in a domestic or security or real estate prize. You are in particular fine form Sunday to dawn Monday — start something. That river of money mentioned above is flowing past you Monday morning to supper time Wednesday. I’d jump in for profit, but stay out for spending. Be careful Monday morning when hard reality or deceptive conditions can hover around investments and assets. Wednesday night to Saturday dawn brings errands, paperwork and communications, casual friends and valuable information. This is a good interval, but be careful very late Wednesday or the wee wee hours of Thursday, when a deal might fall apart or someone is simply rude/uncommunicative. Saturday is for home, family, rest and contemplation — all’s well! (You might have to choose between home and outside ambitions Saturday morning — I’d choose home.)

libra icon  LIBRA:  Sept. 23-Oct. 22

Every year there is a period of rest, libra. Yours started last Friday and will continue for four weeks. These weeks will help investments, research, rest and contemplation, making plans for the future, and liaising with government, head office and institutions. (Best Sep. 2 onward.) It will not be a good time to seek admiration or public approval. Contradicting this are two trends: one, your social involvement and optimism toward the future are strong and fruitful (to Sep. 19). Two, you will be more assertive and much more sexually magnetic than usual (until Sep. 22). Career-wise, the weeks ahead will open a pathway to ascending in management zones. (And the whole 10 months ahead will favour your career, other ambitions. A promotion is quite probable.) Sunday into Monday dawn finds you tired and contemplative — rest, plan, seek advice. All’s well. Your energy and charisma surge upward Monday morning to supper time Wednesday — partially, because you are in a low physical cycle. Be careful Monday morning, when rejection or deception can occur. Otherwise, this is a great time to get things done. Tuesday night might bring a powerful lover, or a pulling apart. Handle money, buy/sell, collect and pay debts, hug a sometime lover and/or learn from classes or books, Wednesday night to Saturday dawn. This is also a good, mostly smooth interval, but be careful very late Wednesday night or the tiny hours of Thursday, when relationships might be strained, or your money threatened. Saturday is for travel, casual friends, paperwork, communications and curiosity. Saturday morning might simply be a bit nervous, but it might also introduce you to someone different yet intriguing.

scorpio icon  SCORPIO:  Oct. 23-Nov. 21

Wishes can come true, Scorpio. The few weeks ahead bring optimism, popularity, social delights, flirtations and a feeling of being “part of humanity.” You’ll be happy! (This trend is highlighted Sunday to dawn Monday, PDT.) But, contrarily perhaps, avoid sketchy venues and belligerent individuals until September 22. Your intellectual, legal and travel zones remain very lucky — until late next June. (Legal — the “luck” here could either help you win a case, or hugely expand your legal fees.) Bosses and higher ups will favour you until September 19 — take advantage. You might have recently noticed a change in your investments, in a research project, and/or in your sexual life. (Friendship enters, but performance might exit to some degree.) Find a quiet place to rest, contemplate and plan Monday night to supper time Wednesday. Commit to nothing Monday morning, and follow safety procedures. Seek advice, and liaise with government or head office. Your energy and charisma rise very nicely Wednesday night to Saturday dawn. Be careful very late Wednesday night, when obstacles arise. Otherwise, this is a great interval to start projects, gain your way, or gain attention. Saturday is for shopping, embracing a sometime lover, and/or reading to learn. All’s well.

sagittarius icon  SAGITTARIUS:  Nov. 22-Dec. 21

Prepare for an ambitious month, Sage. In the weeks ahead, higher ups will be observing and noting your performance. Promotion or demotion or simply maintaining your position — this will depend on your performance. Until September 19, love has a chance; so do intellectual studies, far travel, social rituals, law and learning, profound thoughts and media — all are mildly lucky, and blessed with natural affection. Until September 22, your planet of romance (Mars) sits in your sign of happiness and wishes coming true — sure, do pursue someone. Your sexual, financial, lifestyle and medical zones are both significant and generally fortunate for the next 10 months. (Great time for couples to seek pregnancy.) Sunday to Monday dawn finds you ambitious, but perhaps without anything to exercise it on. Still, no harm if you approach VIPs or prestige people. Monday morning to suppertime Wednesday brings optimism, wishes (that might come true) flirtations, popularity, entertainment and social delights. Be careful Monday morning, when you might have to choose between deep love and light. Late Tuesday, you might witness two friends either breaking up or glueing together. Retreat, find a quiet place to rest, contemplate and plan, Wednesday night to Saturday dawn. Seek advice, contact gov’t or institutions. Be mildly cautious very late Wednesday night to just past midnight (PDT) when minor glitches cannot occur. Your energy and charisma rise quickly Saturday — new friends might come and affection seems to be everywhere.

capricorn icon  CAPRICORN:  Dec. 22-Jan. 20

A month of far travel, legal matters, higher education, publishing, international affairs and gentle love has just started, Cap. You’re going to feel mellow, and that you have the right place in society. You will understand things that puzzled you before. Sunday to Monday dawn highlights this mellow and intellectual trend. Your sexual and investment interests will be quite fortunate until September 19. Bosses and authorities will be impatient and possibly temperamental until September 22 — diplomacy (which you are expert at) is the cure. Relationships are fortunate, cheerful — and restrictive — for the next 10 months. Be ambitious Monday morning to Wednesday supper time. Careful Monday morning, when your domestic situation might trip up your career ambitions. Otherwise, charge ahead! You might need to make a significant choice Tuesday night between quick money and investment money. Hopes and wishes come to the forefront Wednesday night to Saturday dawn. Popularity, social delights, optimism, flirting and entertainment lift your heart. Some glitches Wednesday night or Thursday pre-dawn, but you can handle them. Retreat Saturday (and Sunday) — rest, contemplate and plan, seek advice and deal, if you have to, with the government or institutions. It’s a good week overall, Cap.

Aquarius icon  AQUARIUS:  Jan. 21-Feb. 18

The weeks ahead will be quiet on the outside, but with much stirring up inside you, Aquarius. There will be an accent on secrecy, research, medical and lifestyle concerns, major finances and sexual/extramarital temptations. This is usually a good time for investments and investigations. These will be highlighted Sunday to Monday dawn in a rather unexciting but “safe” way — unless you live in Europe or Asia, in which case Sunday can be unpredictable and stressful. Until September 22, be a little careful in legal and media zones — your opinion could get you in trouble. On the other hand, now to September 19 blesses relationships and deepens love. Now agreements or opportunities must be sealed, committed to, or abandoned. Monday morning to supper time Wednesday offers gentle love, profound thoughts, travel, law and learning, publishing and media. Watch yourself in relationships: you like the other person, but are you being too forceful or stubborn? (Be careful Monday morning, not to say anything that could get you in trouble!) be ambitious Wednesday night to Saturday dawn. Dress well, display your skills, and be eager for responsibility. Saturday brings friends, popularity, flirtations, pleasure and enjoyment! Oh, and maybe, late, love.

Pisces icon  PISCES:  Feb. 19-March 20

A month of significant relationships has just started, Pisces. The weeks ahead will be filled with fresh horizons, opportunities — and opposition, so be diplomatic — and with possible public appearances and relocation themes. These will be highlighted Sunday to Monday dawn.  I think you’ll be happy! Your work will be pleasant and workmates will favour you until September 19. You are going to be very interested in sexual intimacy until September 22, but not necessarily in a long-term way. Of course if you find a mate (quite possible) the sex should last as a secondary element in your bond. You are very fortunate for the next 10 months in romantic, creative and “play” zones. If married and young, this is NOT the time (now to September 22) to attempt pregnancy. For the next seven years, your home will be a place of surprises, fresh air, and retreat. Monday morning to suppertime Wednesday features secrets, research, major finances, medical and lifestyle questions and sexual drives. It’s a good interval, but be careful Monday morning, when money, intimacy and medical issues need attention rather than exploitation. Wednesday night to Saturday Dawn brings a mellow mood, profound thoughts/ideas, international affairs, higher learning, law and publishing — and gentle love. (In fact, someone attractive might pursue you.) Be ambitious Saturday. It might not be a workday, but even so you should dress “up” and contact prestige people if it fits with what you’re doing generally. In the restaurant, they will call you sir or ma’am.

THE END.

AFTERAMBLE:

Marco Rubio, the American Sec. of State, possesses a virtually infallible sense of reality. Very few people will see as clearly as he does. He’s a Gemini, 6 degrees. At the end of his career, he will shrink from the limelight, might even live alone, but he will have animals, pets. Shaw, the famous playwright, was also born in 6 degrees Gemini.

Trump and his buddies might be missing the point in their cleanup of Washington DC. The problem isn’t essentially the police, but the prosecutors and judges. Remember I predicted back in the 1980s that for the next 250 years judges would be bad, foolish, biased and unjust?

Here is a typical example of how Washington DC justice operates, told by a crime victim: (credit to “Not The Bee” and Maddy Karon)

“I was called into court to give a statement about a man who’d exposed himself to me on the metro. He had over 200 charges to date. Court was delayed 4 hours for him to “calm down” after calling the judge the c-word. Once he had, she dismissed the new charges and let him go.”

Gavin Newsom, the Democratic Governor of California, has set Nov. 4, 2025 for a vote to approve more deeply gerrymandering all of California to eliminate Republican districts and reform them into democratic districts. Already, California votes over 40% republican, but because the state has already gerrymandered its voting districts, only 7 %  of the its congressmen are republican. (I’m estimating from memory.)  Newsom wants to eliminate republican votes so his state can copy Massachusetts and Maryland, where around 40 % of residents vote republican, but no republicans are ever elected due to gerrymandering.

Now all the blue (liberal/dem) states are complaining because Texas, having had a population boom due to an influx of people fleeing blue states such as California, is allowed, by law, to have five more congressmen. Since they have five additional congressmen, they need 5 additional districts. So Texas had to redraw the map of voting districts.  That’s terrible, the blue-rinse folks exclaim, so we’re going to gerrymander every one of our blue states just to get back at Texas. But many of those blue states are already so heavily gerrymandered by the Democrats that there’s no room for more because they have already redrawn districts to virtually eliminate or render impotent all votes from Republicans. They think it’s outrageous that Republicans should even get to vote. Democrats are the most undemocratic party I have ever observed in North America.

I told you a while ago that Bell Canada was a corrupt company. Now I’ve found another one: Trans Link, an umbrella under which most of BC’s transportation is found: buses, ferries, etc. I don’t know if Trans Link is corrupt or not, but I do know that they actively exclude public concerns. In fact, they make it impossible to contact them. If you phone their telephone number, you will be treated to about five minutes of a telephone tree, but you will never reach a human, nor are you allowed to leave a message. This is a type of corruption.

If you ever want to contact them or make a complaint about for example bus service or dangerous bus driving, they demand that you give them: all your personal information including your phone number, address, and email, the time and date of an incident,  and then the five digit number of the bus involved and the five digit number of the bus stop where this occurred. If you don’t have all this, sorry, you cannot reach Trans Link; they will not even allow you to leave a message, text or voice.

They have (I’m sure purposely) made it almost impossible to contact them. Every bus, even on the same route, has a different five digit number. Every bus stop also has a different five digit number. If you don’t enter this information, Trans Link refuses to let you communicate with them. This is obviously designed – very successfully – to keep the public silent, out of the picture.

Last Saturday the driver of the compact bus (abut 20 seats) I was on did a “jack rabbit” start so suddenly and strongly that a woman passenger who had not yet reached her seat was thrown face-first onto the floor. I yelled at the bus driver to stop and I helped the woman into a seat.  I tried to report the incident (being a hallway monitor type of personality) but could not. Both Coast Mountain Bus (the company) and Trans Link (the semi-government umbrella) operate behind a steel wall that you cannot penetrate.

This is a kind of purposeful negligence that to me comes very close to the criminal. Neither company has an email address. Both companies only have one phone number for the public — and gee whiz they both have the very same number — which speaks to you, but will not let you speak. You simply cannot reach Coast Mountain. You can leave a message on the Internet for Trans Link, IF you first complete their long, invasive form — invasive, because it asks a lot of personal questions — and demands information that almost no one in the world will ever have. If you don’t fill out every line of their long application, tough nuts, you have to go home without a comment. If you do not have the five digit number of the bus stop (every stop has a different number) and the five digit number of the bus that you might be reporting (every bus has a different number)  then, again, tough nuts.

For example, in this case with the woman falling on the floor from the driver’s jackrabbit start — you are supposed to ignore the injured woman, stick your head out the window (impossible, as they only open 6 “) and peer back 100 or 200 feet to read the five 1-inch numbers on the little sign over the bus stop that is quickly receding into the distance. Oh, and then you have to remember to get off the bus  to see and record the five digits of the bus — and have you got a pen and pad? — before it runs you down with one of those jackrabbit starts. In this case, the bus driver only momentarily stopped when I yelled at him, then aggressively drove on. He did not check on the woman; he did not even leave his seat. She could have a broken arm or a broken hip — but Trans Link and Coast Mountain Bus Company don’t wanna hear about it.

***

Another pet peeve: the telephone companies that keep on hold for an hour before they answer you. Isn’t it funny how the people in charge of the phones seldom answer yours?

***

Essentially, these mega businesses —  Bell, Trans Link, Coast Mountain Bus, etc. have no respect for the individual, because after all you are only one in say 20 million customers to them. Often you must rely on these companies, for heating oil or telephone access or food or other essentials; knowing this, they assume, quite rightly, that  you need them more than they need you. Thus, corporate cultures of arrogance and coldness.

***

I don’t get it. Why doesn’t the US quietly manufacture (or help Ukraine manufacture) 100,000 drones. And then why doesn’t Ukraine launch one huge 50,000 drone strike on three targets: the Kremlin,  Putin’s multi-billion dollar mansion, and thirdly, on as many Russian army and airbases as possible. Even the most sophisticated defences might stop 20 or even 100 drones, but would be totally overwhelmed by 50,000. The Kremlin would be destroyed, most of Moscow would be destroyed (gee, you mean it would look a little like Ukraine?) and the Russians might lose so much air and ground materiel that they could not effectively retaliate except by launching atomic bombs. When/if Putin retaliates, then Ukraine still has 50,000 drones  to attack the Russians with.

Secondly, why doesn’t someone assassinate Putin? Surely it’s not impossible.

***

I can report that DEI bigotry is alive and well in my home town, province and country. Amy Hamm, a nurse in British Columbia with an exemplary record — and such a good nurse that she had been chosen to be a nurse educator — has been fined almost $100,000 and suspended, I think for a year, for this huge crime: she stated on social media that men are men and women are women, and men should not be allowed to invade women’s bathrooms. The BC organization of Nurses and Midwives, who levied the fine and the suspension, should be ashamed of themselves. What a bunch of PC, DEI, woke jackasses. I’m ashamed of my government for supporting such outrageous, tyrannical and draconian crap.

***

Four or five high school boys have been suspended from school because a teenage girl walked into their bathroom with a camera and started photographing everything – including, we suppose, their “equipment.” Why were the boys suspended? Because they asked the girl to leave. I saw a video of the incident. The boys did not push the girl, they didn’t even touch her, but they asked why she was in there and asked her to leave — which she didn’t.

But that wasn’t their sin: their crime was to complain to the school’s principal about this invasion. In Virginia, in Loudoun County, that was enough to throw the boys out of school. They committed the crime of rejecting gender identity. In other words the girl was allowed to do and go wherever she wanted because she identified — she said — as a boy. (Although in the video she seems to be wearing a short black skirt and bare legs.)

Far from being scolded or punished in any way at all, the trespassing girl was lauded by the school as a true hero (not heroine). That’s Loudoun County, Virginia, America — home of the brave.

I have long admired Israel. It is one of, if not the, best nations on earth. Jews are humane, hospitable, eager for life, fair/just, and a powerhouse. Since 1966 Israel has won 12 Nobel prizes. The nations around it have won eight Nobels, all but two of them peace prizes. Israel has 10 million people. The Middle East has over 500 million people. That’s 1 Nobel per 63 million, compared to Israel’s 1 Nobel per 834,000 pop. (I have extended the “Middle East” as far west as Tunisia. If we exclude Egypt [4 Nobels] that’s less than 1 Nobel prize per 100 million Islamic pop.) Israel has won more Nobel prizes per capita than the USA, Britain and I suspect most of Europe.

Israel reminds me of 16 and 17th century England, a tiny nation that wielded huge power. Israel has had 3 wars in recent times against huge Arab armies and air forces (except in Gaza) — and won every one, decisively. They have even decimated the various terrorist armies — Hezbollah, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Iran…   It’s like a man with an elephant gun being attacked by four or five gorillas. 10 million Israelis versus 500 million Arabs — outnumbered 50 to one.

The one recent mistake Israel made was to bomb Iran’s nuclear facilities days too late. Even after I warned them in this column (which no politician reads) that they should strike June 6, a date that has always granted Israel victory, they hummed and hawed and delayed both starting the war against Iran and bombing the nuclear sites (through the proxy U.S.) until days later — after Iran, seeing war coming,  had moved huge portions of its enriched uranium to new secret caches away from the bombing sites.
