START NOTHING (ALL TIMES ARE PACIFIC DAYLIGHT): 4:12 am Mon. to 2:03 am Tues., 1:52 am to 12:02 pm Thurs., and  1:47 am to 7:57 pm Sat.

PREAMBLE:

Notice there are a lot of 12-hour + “Start Nothing” gaps — Mon./Tues., and Sat.

***

In July, 7 of the 8 planets will be in harmony (well aspected to each other). This  might mark the start of a bull run on the stock markets.

***

Mars will square Jupiter the first week of May. If there is to be a jolt in the stock market, it will be now, probably related to war. (But by August onward we should be sailing high again.)

WEEKLY FORECAST:

aries icon  ARIES:  March 21-April 19

The general accent lies on money, income, spending, casual sex and/or rote learning, Aries. I’ll keep repeating: your real estate and family luck is at a 12-year high — until late June. Take advantage! You express yourself well now, and others are happy to listen. Before mid May, you might take a short trip in pursuit of affection. You are assuming a much more serious role in the world than in past years. Until mid-May, you are more aggressive than usual, so remember humour, and a light touch. Uranus just entered Gemini, so you will be restless, mentally active, and will meet and make many friends now to 2033. Tackle routine chores (not new/unusual ones) Sunday/Monday. Go slow, don’t rush, and make sure all’s legit. Tuesday to midday Thursday brings relationships, opportunity/opposition. Tuesday’s great until midday (PDT) then slightly sours. Wednesday’s a jumble — good and bad luck, so just march ahead. Thursday afternoon through Saturday brings secrets, private deals, collusion (avoid this!) sexual desire, big finances, medical and lifestyle choices. Careful Thursday: actions and destiny go different ways. Friday and pre-dawn Sat. are fortunate, might bring a climax to a relationship or investment. Rest of Saturday is a dud.

taurus icon  TAURUS:  April 20-May 20

This is your time, Taurus! Your energy is high, your charisma glows, and you’ll be effective in almost any situation. As always before this coming July, paperwork, messaging and errands are big, can consume your time — but eventually can bring you a better job position or more favourable investments (retirement funds). Uranus has just moved into Gemini for 7 years. This ends the stress you’ve felt for the last 7 years. Calm is coming! You will also notice, now to 2033, that you have less interest in money, and yet (if you’re under 65) money flows easily, and pay raises in a career are almost automatic. Your connection to give’s and management types is serious and growing. Sunday/Monday are romantic, creative. Sunday’s best, but watch that a secret doesn’t spill out. Tackle chores Tuesday to noon Thursday (PDT) — eat, dress sensibly. Best results Tuesday morning and Wednesday late morning, afternoon (all PDT). Exciting meetings, relationships, public appearances, opportunities and relocation ideas arrive Thursday pm through Sat. Caution Thursday — charge ahead Fri./Sat.

gemini icon  GEMINI:  May 21-June 20

Lie low, Gemini. Find a quiet place, meditate or contemplate, seek advice and plan, handle neglected chores, and be charitable. (Helps your karma.) Your energy and charisma will be low until May 20/21. Meanwhile, your hopes remain strong; ditto your desire for human company. Both these are only at the beginning of a big, slow expansion. Your money (income) luck remains high until June’s end. Do what you can, before than, to make any extra income permanent. (E.g., seek a pay raise rather than overtime.) The planet Uranus has just entered your sign, to stay for 7 years. This will have several effects: 1) you might grow more nervous and intense, but your nerves will not be the drawback they’ve been since 2019. 2) you’ll become more alert, and might suffer insomnia. 3) your ideas will become more universal and profound. 4) you will deal with foreign nations or foreign born people. 5) if single, you might meet your soul mate; weddings are likely. Someone will be very attracted to you. 6) far travel, law, higher learning, writing, publishing, philosophy/religion — these will grow more important. You’re going to be happy, Gemini! Tackle chores Sun./Mon. — only routine ones Monday. Romance, creative surges, kids, sports, games attract you Tuesday to noon Thursday (PDT). Late Tuesday to dawn Wed. needs care (others refuse) but both daytimes go well (PDT!). Tackle chores Thursday pm through Saturday. But Thursday and Saturday don’t yield much, so concentrate on Friday. A sudden love affair might start soon.

Cancer icon  CANCER:  June 21-July 22

You face a month of happiness, Cancer! Your popularity, social joys, flirtations and optimism will soar. People will be drawn to your friendly, cheerful mood. You have a lot to handle on the ambition and career front, and should mull over this area, for what “grows” now will have a long life. Law, international stuff, higher learning, media and gentle love will have an effect your career — so will co-operation or opposition — aim for the former! Uranus just entered Gemini for 7 years. This can add to your “smarts” as an investor, and can make stress a source of illness. (To reduce stress, garden or plunge into nature.) Now to mid-May, the gov’t (management types, too) favour you. Sunday to pre-dawn Tuesday brings travel, errands, paperwork and communications — difficulties here Tuesday night to pre-dawn Wed., but before and after this success is easy Tues., and holds a possible “surprise” benefit Wed. Thursday noon (PDT) through Saturday brings romance, a creative streak, fun with kids, a winning streak. But Thursday holds hidden problems. Friday’s smooth,  and Saturday is great until pre-dawn (PDT — dawn EST, 10 am England, etc.) — then slides into duds-ville

Leo icon  LEO:  July 23-Aug. 22

The general emphasis lies on your career, Leo, on your ambitions, prestige relations, worldly status — and dealings with authorities (parking ticket?). For the past seven years, relationships, especially partnerships, have had a huge effect on your ambitions. This made conditions rather unstable. Now, for the seven years ahead, your career will grow more anchored and fixed. Oddly, now relationships will grow much more happy/harmonious, but will have less effect on your ambitions. (Unless your ambition is to marry — the seven years ahead can easily bring this.) Until July, you still benefit from management, gov’t., health plans, banks, etc. Chase money Sun./Mon. — buy/sell, collect and pay, hug a sometime lover, and/or dive into a book or lecture. Realize not much will “grow” from Monday’s actions, situations. Paperwork, messaging and errands fill Tuesday to noon Thursday (PDT) — for success, act before Tuesday noon or after Wed. breakfast (all PDT). Midday Thursday through Saturday steers you toward home and family — a bad thing Thursday, a good thing Fri./Sat. (Though Sat. later can be “empty.”)

virgo icon  VIRGO:  Aug. 23-Sept. 22

The weeks ahead are “enlightening,” Virgo. Higher learning, law, philosophy, foreign countries/people, profound ideas, gentle love — these will call you, and seldom harm you. (In general, to the end of July, reject independence, embrace others.) Until June’s end, groups are lucky for you — join one or two, it will bring years of benefits. Your sex and finances, medical and lifestyle sector is undergoing deep changes. Mars might “sex you up” into mid-May, but the profound changes are deeper: you now want sex to bind you to a life mate, and you can feel deeply romantic about a lust connection. Hmm. Think about that one. Might be okay. Uranus now starts seven years of stress, inventiveness, friendliness and unpredictability in your career, other ambitions. The good thing is, all your work will tend, gradually,  to boost your standing. Your energy and charisma are high Sun./Mon. Act Sunday for best results in N.A., but Monday for Europe and Asia. Buy/sell, handle possessions, hug a casual lover, and/or learn by rote, Tuesday to midday Thursday. Tuesday morning, Wednesday daytime best. Thursday noon through Saturday sends you on errands, brings calls, messaging and paperwork. Thursday needs caution — subterranean alienation.

libra icon  LIBRA:  Sept. 23-Oct. 22

The underside of life surfaces now to late May, Libra. Your intuition blossoms, is reliable. You will be attracted to power — whether sexual, financial, or “political.” Keep your ethics, honesty — they will steer you through a complex series of temptations/opportunities. It’s an excellent few weeks to research, obtain surgery, invest and change your life (if needed). Your career remains very fortunate, bosses like you. Your ideas and opinions are “right on” now and will win an ally or two. (Gemini might be involved.) Relationships have entered a deep, meaningful area, in which home, work, health and opportunity will be major factors in bonding. Uranus, your love planet, has just entered your intellectual sector for a seven year stay. Simple translation: you’ll be happy. You’ll be intellectually alert, ready for a wedding, will travel at the drop of a hat, might enter higher learning. Lie low, rest and contemplate Sun./Mon. Your energy and charisma soar Tuesday to midday Thurs. Early (Tuesday daytime) everything works. Later, it’s all about who’s facing you — relationships will have a say in your life story. Buy/sell, hug a casual lover, learn by rote midday Thursday through Sat. Thursday’s difficult. Friday’s fine. Saturday’s great, but the good part ends by dawn PDT — 8 am EDT, 1 pm England, all day China.

scorpio icon  SCORPIO:  Oct. 23-Nov. 21

Your intellectual faculties awaken now to July, Scorpio. This can pull you, in quite a fortunate way, toward far travel, import/export, higher learning, publishing/media, law, religion/philosophy — and love. That last, if you’re unattached, can pull you toward someone who has a good financial cushion or ability. The present month accents relationships and opportunities — and “reveals” the private side of a potential bond, in love or money — good luck here until just past  mid-May. Be diplomatic (as opposition can arise) yet eager to join. Work remains hard, tough. That’s okay, grin and bear it. Sunday/Monday are happy, optimistic. Your popularity rises, a group welcomes you, flirting might occur. All’s better Sunday, as Monday’s a bit hollow. Retreat, lie low and rest Tuesday to midday Thursday. Seek advice (esp. from gov’t, management types) contemplate, plan. Avoid competitive situations. Exactly the opposite Thursday pm through Saturday: your energy and charisma soar. Confront obstacles and solve them. Start new projects. Friday best. Thursday has a “slow bump,” and most of Saturday is a dud — but great this morning in Europe, this daytime in Asia. (Predawn, PDT.)

sagittarius icon  SAGITTARIUS:  Nov. 22-Dec. 21

The general accent lies on work, employment, health and dependents, Sage. Yes, drudgery! On the other hand, someone sees you through a very affectionate lens now to about May 18. (This also brings practical opportunities, favourable reactions from clients, etc.)  Simultaneously, your love planet, your money planet, and your domestic/property planet, sit in your romance sign. Significant times! Until July, your financial, investment, sexual, research and medical concerns move forward luckily. Be ambitious Sun./Mon. — act Sunday or early

Monday (see “Start Nothing” times above). Optimism, friends, popularity, social delights, flirting, entertainment — these fill Tuesday to noon Thursday (PDT). You might have to make a decision Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, between two friends, or between friendship and romance. Retreat, rest and contemplate Thursday pm through Sat. Seek advice, make plans, liaise with gov’t, and do a good deed. (Helps your karma.) Caution Thursday, esp. around a management or gov’t type (or bureaucrat).

capricorn icon  CAPRICORN:  Dec. 22-Jan. 20

Ah, sweet romance! Or a bevy of linked influences: creativity, beauty, pleasure, sports/games, charming children — you’ll soak up the goodness of life in whatever way. Additionally, lucky Jupiter is in your partnership house — until late June. Another person might be challenging, but vibrant and alluring. (This can also offer fortunate business/practical alliances, especially creative ones.) Then of course there’s the obstacle — for you, it’s domestic. For him/her, it’s prestige/career related. (Or if you’re young, parental disapproval/skepticism on both sides.) Work mates are pleasant, work is a comforting thing until late May. Sunday/Monday are loving, gentle, profound, sparking travel, learning, legal or media forays. Act Sunday — Monday’s a dud in the western hemisphere (tho’ good most of the day in Europe, Asia). Be ambitious Tuesday to noon Thursday (PDT). A good, solid interval, but be careful Tues. night/Wed. morning when opposition or a brief downturn must be respected. Thursday noon through Saturday, a wish could come true. You’ll be popular, optimistic and flirty. Social delights arise. But Thursday isn’t the best; Friday holds a climax or celebration; and Sat. is great, maybe very lucky, but very early — predawn PDT, all day China.

Aquarius icon  AQUARIUS:  Jan. 21-Feb. 18

You home and family will grow in importance over the weeks ahead, Aquarius. One huge change just occurred (April 25) — Uranus, your planet, left your sign of domesticity after seven years and entered Gemini, your sign of romance and good luck, for the seven years that start now. This indicates that years of stress, tension, being confined to home or parental duties, to property ownership and connection to the earth, end. And almost a decade of true love begins. (Even if your love is of toy trains or zoos or other hobbies.) You continue to be busy with paperwork, errands and communications — some of these connections will last over a decade. Work is hard and “big” — but will help you financially and could also bring a wish true. Sun./Mon. are for mysteries, secrets, research and valuable information, lust for power or sex, medical and lifestyle decisions. Act Sunday, or before 4 am Mon. (PDT) Heightened intellect, law, learning, media, philosophy — and love — draw you Tuesday to noon Thursday (again, PDT). All’s good, but watch Tues. night, Wed. morning, when friends might argue, or you can’t seem to say the right thing. Be ambitious Thursday noon through Sat. You might appear dominating Thursday, so lighten up. Friday’s fine, and Sat.’s very lucky very early — around 1 am PDT, 4 pm China.

Pisces icon  PISCES:  Feb. 19-March 20

The general accent will be on messages, calls, texts, trips and paperwork, Pisces. Now to July, single Pisces are very favoured for romance — so if you aren’t “chasing” someone start now — best method: calls, texts, short trips, etc. If you’re attached, the two months ahead sprinkle good luck over things creative, sports-like, inventive, risky, pleasurable/beautiful, or related to raising kids. However, you yourself — your urges to profit, possess or earn income can squelch romance, if you let them. (Deep changes are occurring in your sector of income and possessions.) Uranus just entered Gemini, for a seven-year stay. This will add some stress to your domestic scene, but also add a pinch of freedom and new insights. You might also take advantage of gov’t programs for home ownership or renovations. Sun./Mon. are for relationships and opportunities. Act Sunday, or very early Monday, for success. Life’s secret side emerges Tuesday to noon Thursday (PDT). Your intuition will rise — act on it rather than on logic. Both Tues. and Wed. can be very fortunate (e.g., great for investing) but let caution flags fly late Tues., early Wed. A sweet, tolerant, mellow mood steals over you Thursday noon through Sat. Higher learning, law, far travel, media, profound ideas — and love — capture your attention. These won’t yield good results Thursday, but will Friday and very early Sat.

THE END.

AFTERAMBLE:

I don’t get it: when I lived up the coast and had to take the ferry to Vancouver, the seagulls would always follow the ferry. If you watch them, you’ll notice that the goals are not flapping their wings; they’re just balancing in the air, the ferry is probably doing 10 or 20 kn, there’s a headwind of maybe 10 miles an hour, and the gull is just floating there. It’s not even stationary; I’ve seen goals like this actually overtake the ferry in a matter of seconds , all without moving there wings –and then fly off. I don’t understand the physics of it.

***

It’s been standard fare, throughout history, to criticize the younger generation. Even the ancient Greeks did it. Noticed I use the singular form of generation. There is a pattern in society in which one generation feels a natural affection for,  a  friendliness toward, the second generation after theirs (and vice versa, usually) while remaining in a  more tense or serious relationship with the generation immediately before or after their own. So grandparents can be serious with their own children, but gaga over their grandchildren. I don’t know if the practice is widespread, but here in Vancouver Jewish grandparents leave their assets to their grandchildren, not their own children. This is actually a good idea, for it lets the grandchildren attain some Money, property or other assets while they’re still young enough to utilize them. By young enough, I would guess that most grandparent now live to say 85, then the average child will be 55 to 65 years old, and the grandchild will be somewhere in the 35 to 45 year old range – and age experienced enough to separate fool‘s gold from real value, and still young enough to give its projects an energetic drive. The parents, of course, are not left out – they received their inheritance 20 years ago, when they were 35 to 45.

But to return to my topics: I rejoice in the young people, but, perhaps going cross drain with the above, I like watching anyone from age one to about mid-20s. You can feel the future in their teenage expressions and in  the three year old proudly and happily keeping up with daddy, or the boy walking home from school alone.

My children are millennials. I treat them seriously, and they don’t appreciate my humour anyway. Despite this, I noticed a few things in them that are far different from my generation. One, they are more thoughtful, more interested in ideas and politics. They can work hard and reliably for a long time, but the money might not be as important to them as what they do. Very idealistic.

Two , they’re more set in their ways. Three, they are more strapped economically, but seem to have little commitment to saving. A generally optimistic, compassionate, polite, social and soft spoken generation. I like their vitality. And I have for many years, admired there gentleness when dealing with others.

They next generation – my grandchildren – shares all these attributes, except one: they are not workers, whereas millennials are. Did you see any NASA footage of the astronauts circling the moon? Did you see how friendly and gregarious they were? This is a sincerely friendly generation – a quality shared by every generation after the boomers. (compare the Apollo crew that landed on the moon to these Nightingales flirting around the moon’s darker side. The boomer crew was fine, but generally quietly serious. The Artemis crew were happy, ebullient , and expressed their love for each other. In fact, it almost bothers me, reminds me of HG Wells, novel, were the gentle, angelic people live on the surface and the more locks live more locks live below. This generation reminds me of those surface dwellers, and we know what happened to them. Gen Z. Is especially like that: they don’t really want to work. They have other concerns. They are the first solid wave of a leisure society.

I know there is violence everywhere, but the generations are mine, yes, even the millennials, are more peaceful, and more likely to achieve peace in their lifetime. My generation worships peace, but it also worships technology and power

and does not necessarily see the military as a negative. My parents generation carried at least one world war on their shoulders. The men returned angry, mistreated, women, and although they would not talk about it, let us know through books and movies and comic books, how heroes act, and how the world is a place of war. So it’s no wonder that my hippie  generation, though it grabbed the head of the snake of bitterness and cracked open the purely mercantile society, and led to women’s lib, and showed there was more to live for than merely a two car garage and a nice lawn in a suburb filled with the same. Despite this, my generation was also a product of its parents. And so chauvinism, some anger, a readiness to fight or to challenge – these come from our heritage, our upbringing.

***

When you take away the stresses of this life – war, ambition, keeping up with the Joneses, facing judges or bosses – when you leave those stressors behind, the Earth becomes a paradise. This is why vacations are so important. We need to reconnect with paradise, to sip at the cup of life‘s abundant beauty, to sustain us through the next bout of stress.

***

Some retirees simply fade into the sunset, content to find a rest. But some are more lively and usually more social period if they have enough money, this sucking group will tend to go either one or two ways: one, two try to relive life and to get more money and more status, etc. and two, to contribute to the good of mankind to use the wisdom of seven or eight decades. These are leaders, who shed be influencing, teaching, showing a better way. Coaching a little league team – it’s certain more than one child athlete on the team will see you as a role model.
