ASTRAL REFLECTIONS

	TAURUS and LIBRA are both ruled by Venus, the planet of love. Both signs are remarkably alike: gracious, receptive, charming and masters of sensuality. Yet people born with both of these signs prominent (e.g., a Libra with Moon or ascendant in Taurus, or a Taurus with Libra rising or Moon) often experience major challenges in finding lifetime love. Often, though wanting love, they indulge lust, which thwarts lasting marital relations.
	Okay, here are SCORPIO and SAGITTARIUS’ karmic forecasts: 
	Scorpio, from late August 2009 to March 3 2011, your karmic axis lies across your sectors of information and idea. Under “information” are included details, facts, anecdotes, reports, paperwork, news, emails, telephone calls and daily communications, newspapers, etc., as well as short trips, casual friendships, gab fests, siblings, cars and buses, internet (in most cases) errands and related activities. In these, all things being equal, you should find your interests proceed easily and smoothly – and that you enjoy some amount of protection. (E.g., paying attention to detail helps you keep your job.)  
	DON’T chase the lure of foreign travel, profound ideas, cultural involvements and rituals (e.g., weddings, film fests, etc.) religion, philosophy, big ideas, law and scholarship. In these, you might chase an alluring, promising, but constantly elusive reward. If you’re a lawyer, focus on details for these 18 months. If a writer, write articles or short stories rather than novels. Socially, don’t try to elevate a relationship to profound levels (e.g., marriage).
       Sagittarius, the 18 months from August  22/09 to March 3/11 will offer you a smooth, productive path in surface, temporary and useful things. In money, for protection and ease, buy items which will depreciate or which you can utilize (such as a car, or food). Concentrate on earned income and personal money, possessions – chat up new clients, ask for a pay raise, etc. You might find inexplicable frustrations if/when you focus on or engage in investments (i.e., buying appreciating items – which will, these 18 months, tend to depreciate) and on shared resources in general. This is not a good time to open a joint account, start a financial partnership, combine your assets with your lover/spouse, etc. 
       Relying on your memory, accepting surface appearances, even living life on the surface to some degree, are favoured now. Sensual, casual sex, yes; deep, life-altering intimacy, no. This is not the time for research, detective work, occultism, secrecy or life’s dark depths. It’s not the best time to pursue a new lifestyle or make great changes. Life’s complex, so these two large zones will inevitably mix. When that happens (e.g., you earn income as an investment broker) don’t worry nor grow indecisive: just act honestly and gently, and all will be well. Sell a former investment.

Aries   March 21-April 19
Steep yourself in domestic chores, parent-child concerns, gardening, nutrition, soul and other foundational matters (sales territory in business). Your protective instincts rise. Make some household-related purchases (especially in tandem with another) Tuesday/Wednesday.  (Communications, computers and autos are good Tuesday, not Wednesday.) Relationships drive you crazy Sunday, please you greatly Monday. Wednesday is the fulcrum of the whole week, even of the summer: love and money encounter difficulties, but talk, travel and intellectual pursuits flow beautifully. Secrets revealed!

Taurus   April 20-May 20
Communications, travel, paperwork and details fill this week. Tackle chores Sunday (careful, observe safety rules) and Monday/Tuesday (success is easy!). Relationships fill Wednesday/Thursday – a turning point might be reached, one that will demand some follow-up late week. Both good luck and barriers fill Wednesday, so stay light on your feet, especially your emotional feet, so you can “bounce back” from a disappointment to take advantage of an opportunity – many of both exist! Depths, mysteries and bad investments (and better-left-alone urges for intimacy) fill Friday/Saturday. 

Gemini   May 21-June 20
Continue to chase money. You might be fed up with the world in general Sunday, but Monday/Tuesday’s romantic, risky, pleasure-oriented and creative impulses will meet luck or a pleasing reception! Tackle chores Wednesday/Thursday, but practice safety precautions. Be quite cautious with money matters Friday/Saturday, especially if a relationship is significantly involved – a readjustment might be due. All week, especially around Wednesday, important developments affect your career and intellectual, legal, international, publishing, cultural and/or love scene. Trial and triumph!

Cancer   June 21-July 22
Your energy, effectiveness and charisma remain high – especially your social charisma! Get out, mingle, call people. You’ll impress bosses, VIPs or parents at an in-person meeting (though this will succeed better July 8 onward than now to July 7). This week, especially Wednesday and Friday/Saturday, something relatively minor could balloon into a significant development, for good or ill. (Both good luck and difficulties tumble upon you in this.) It probably revolves around a secret that “escapes” – in turn affecting domestic, love, popularity, government or management zones. 

Leo   July 23-Aug. 22
Rest, lie low, contemplate, plan. Watch others rather than attempt to press your own case or agenda. Act charitably, pursue spiritual enlightenment, seek therapists, advisors, psychics and counsellors. Life presents you with its problems Sunday, with its solutions Monday/Tuesday. Travel, friendships and communications meet luck Tuesday. Wednesday is chock-full of action and significance, though due to your tiredness the action(s) might be “slight.” You might have to decide between ambition and security, or career and home. News arrives – some of it exhilarating or hope-inspiring. A relationship is involved.

Virgo   Aug. 23-Sept. 22
Wishes, optimism, popularity, social delights, fresh horizons and new plans – these invigorate you now! Chase money Sunday p.m. to Tuesday – though Sunday might disappoint (or demand an adjustment to your earnings methods) luck will accompany you in the end – perhaps major luck! Your ambitions and your ethics might go in different directions mid-week – all is jumbled, good and bad.  You might not even be able to tell what is good, what bad. When times are confusing, the best stance is honesty. You might have to choose between romance and popularity Friday/Saturday.

Libra   Sept. 23-Oct. 22
Continue to chase your ambitions. But realize you’ll have to balance ambition with security needs/urges, especially late week (Friday/Saturday) when career-related news, ideas, or an intellectual contact won’t fly unless your foundations permit. (Foundations = family, property, home, business systems, sales territory, nutrition, soul, etc. For example, poor nutrition can leave you too  tired to chase after a$ job promotion.) Money, business, investments/debt, sensual and intimate pursuits – all meet great luck, obstacles and confusion mid-week. Be nimble, decisive  and quick! Avoid these Thursday.

Scorpio   Oct. 23-Nov. 21
You’re in a gentle, thoughtful, wise and loving mood. Flow with  this, contact teachers, foreign people, scholars, professionals, etc. Welcome and seek cultural involvements. Rest, lie low and plan the future Monday/Tuesday – you could meet splendid luck with a government agency, or in a closed-door meeting at administrative levels. (If you’re broke and looking for employment, try a government agency or institution Tuesday.) Your energy and charisma surge Wednesday/Thursday – step forth boldly Wednesday, when good luck mingles with obstacles – obstacles you’re likely to mow down!

Sagittarius   Nov. 22-Dec. 21
Life’s full of mysteries. This week (culminating mid-week) presents you with a gauntlet of relationship situations/developments. The outcome could be frustration, or great good luck – the jumble is so tangled I can’t give much advice, except this: be nimble, true, charitable and receptive. Your energy is low, so it’s best to let life chose your reward and what will be denied you. Employment might be involved, or doing a chore for someone. Your energy returns Friday/Saturday. You might be sexually attracted to someone (or want to invest) but wait – hasty commitments spell regret. 

Capricorn   Dec. 22-Jan. 19
The general emphasis remains on crucial, face-to-face relationships. You might hear from someone late week who offers – or challenges. If the former, accept – you’re dealing with hopes for the future here, and that future might involve distant travel, publishing or schooling – even a wedding. Good luck accompanies your hard work Monday/Tuesday. Popularity and social delights arrive late Tuesday into Thursday. This period (especially Wednesday) offers a carnival of up-and-down influences affecting money, risks, and romance – almost everything, success to failure, depends on communications.

Aquarius   Jan. 20-Feb. 18
You’re one major stride into a month of work and health concerns. Just  keep plugging away – especially Tuesday afternoon through Thursday. These few days hold a rare tumble of influences and developments, like river rapids. Good luck will alternate with disappointment, fear with certainty, etc. It’s all pretty mild, in  the end – but you could strike a bit of career gold! A choice between work (e.g., employment, chores) and “other duties” duties arises late week. For example, a sick aunt might keep you from punching the time clock. Or a manager asks you to take sides – reject collusion!

Pisces   Feb. 19-March 20
Careful Sunday – you and another might have deep, hidden differences. A wise look “from a distance” might show you what the problem is. Make no commitments this day – but do commit, invest, become intimate, make a lifestyle change, or dig deep to unearth secrets (especially in business and career zones) Monday/Tuesday. Mid-week spews nuggets of gold and good fortune, and flares of irritation and refusal, all mingled. Best stance: be nimble, jump on opportunities but let frustrations flow by you – act from a cool, gentle, wise place. Choose between romance and socializing late week.
