ASTRAL REFLECTIONS

	I wrote recently that I had addressed the "Pluto changes" a few months ago for SAGITTARIANS. A reader kindly pointed out that column was January 30 - you can read it by clicking on "Archive" on the home page of my website. Many other signs are bugging me to do long-range stuff for them, too, so I'll try, over the weeks/months ahead.
	If you emailed or telephoned me and didn't get an answer for several weeks, it's because I was in England and other places, so please be patient. (I've learned not to announce when I'll be out of town, and my wife refuses to let me enter Internet cafes.)
I'm partway through a very interesting book by Harry S. Dent, called "The Next Bubble Boom." I was struck that he thinks there will be a major stock market and economic crash in 2009/10 - the same years I predicted. But I've merely speculated that the events of 2009-2011 might be on the scale of the 1929-30's Depression, whereas Harry Dent is convinced they will. He bases his conclusions cycles in the markets (repeating patterns) and on demographics. (The baby boomers spending habits should subside about 2010, he thinks, plunging us into an economic winter.) Harry's real point, though, is his prediction that a huge bubble will take the Dow to 35,000 and the Nasdaq to 13,000 or more, before 2010.
Robert Prechter, a well-known technical analyst who is often uncannily right about major turns in the market but sometimes wildly wrong about when they'll occur, thinks the present "rally" (that is, the whole autumn 2004 through spring 2005, with the Dow floating around 10,000-10,800) is an extended end to a head-and-shoulders "top," and that there's nowhere to go but down from here.  
	I take a middle view. As I wrote before, I think recession merely threatens North America in 2005, but actually comes in 2006. Jupiter-Saturn-Neptune activity in 2007 through 2009 does point to a buoyant economy, so I'd assume, therefore, a buoyant market. Dent makes a good case for a sky-rocketing stock market based on demographics and repeating cycles, but I just don't know. In January/February 2009, technology seems to run into a barrier - if tech indexes do go up this year, it will be a wild, dangerous ride. The whole year of 1998 shows structural problems in the world economy, for those who watch carefully. These problems will be skirted, but only by a hair's breadth.
	And there's real estate. You probably know me as the Chicken Little of property advice. Nevertheless here's my counsel (in agreement with Dent): pay off your mortgage soon, by 2009 if you can. And don't be an unsophisticated realty investor after 2010.

Aries   March 21-April 19
Buying is favored, but chasing money is better. Start money projects, work overtime, raise your client rates, etc. Now through 2010 your friendliness, networking and social skills/joys will boost your income. So laugh, love, and collect! Your popularity continues high this week, but will fade in May, so be busy. Family burdens will lift after July. Big finances, debt, secrets, sexual intimacy, consequential lifestyle decisions fill Sunday/Monday - Sunday's better. Wisdom, love and peace flow in mid-week. Be ambitious Thursday/Friday. All week, don't mix money with "secret" friends. Avoid psychics.

Taurus   April 20-May 20
Your energy, charisma, clout and effectiveness enter a yearly high now through May! Take advantage, start important projects, seek favors, gain the ear of key people, show off your talents, etc! One qualification: higher-ups and authorities are still "temperamental" through April 30, so save any "pushy moves" for May. It's a good time to impress the opposite sex, too. Do this by showing you're attracted Sunday/Monday, and with gentle persuasion Thursday/Friday. (You'll make a deeper impression than you think Thursday/Friday, but don't force issues: someone's very uncertain, perhaps confused.) 

Gemini   May 21-June 20
Rest, contemplate, dress and eat sensibly, plan your future, deal with red tape, fulfill obligations (especially to the unfortunate) - and keep a low profile. Government agencies, institutions and management favor you. Your energy will be low for a few weeks. Don't express loud opinions (and don't gossip) to someone who, in May and early June, could surprise you by being powerful and vengeful (e.g., your boss!). Tackle chores Sunday/Monday. Relationships demand diplomacy Tuesday/Wednesday. Investments and intimate desires promise much, and fool much, Thursday/Friday. Life, travel and learning are lucky Saturday.

Cancer   June 21-July 22
Wish fulfillment, optimism, popularity, social delights and fresh new horizons waft your way for several weeks! Through Friday, pursuit of a very sexy person (or of a financial debt/investment) could grow into a deeper link than you anticipate - that isn't necessarily good! (Take care April 30 through mid-June to avoid legal hassles. The same period can boost your career through travel or formal learning.) Romance, winning gambles, art, beauty, pleasure and charming kids fill Sunday/Monday. Tackle chores midweek. Relationships, exciting meetings might promise more than they'll deliver Thursday/Friday.

Leo   July 23-Aug. 22
Be ambitious - higher-ups are ready to listen, to grant you a venue to prove your skills or proposals. Relationships have been exciting yet frustrating or friction-prone since mid-late March. After this Friday, the friction/frustration leaves, but the "heat" doesn't - beware impulsive action April 30 through early June, in sexual, lifestyle, debt, investment and "big finances" areas. You might soon plunge into the adventure of a lifetime (May/June) but it's unlikely to be a "monied journey!" Be kind at home Sunday/Monday. Romance lures Tuesday/Wednesday. All week, avoid glamorous, elusive people.

Virgo   Aug. 23-Sept. 22
The few weeks ahead bring a mellow, understanding mood. You'll succeed in learning, international involvements, travel, legal, religious and media projects. Soon (through May) relationships of all kinds will heat up. You could form a financial partnership, chase an investment that involves a relocation, or deeply, intently pursue a burning sexual attraction (it might lead to a wedding). (Or, you could argue with everybody and everything - deep down, it's your choice.) These relationships link to a major upcoming change - more so, if you were born after September 13. Go slowly!

Libra   Sept. 23-Oct. 22
The weeks ahead hold mysteries, investments, sexual urges, meaningful dreams, research and investigations, commitment and consequence, and health concerns. It's a good time to change your life. But realize, when contemplating any major actions or commitments, that prosperity is not a likely result if you act before July 16 or from October 25 through 2006. So pursue joy, not profit. You've been braver than usual in romantic, creative and speculative areas, but - oddly, perhaps - your awakening sexuality makes you uncertain about love/romance. Chase money Sunday, friends Wednesday, and love Saturday. 

Scorpio   Oct. 23-Nov. 21
Relationships fill the few weeks ahead. Others will hold the power, so be diplomatic, flexible, eager to join. (Others will treat you nicely, though, no worries - you get sweet responses to May 11, then sexy responses until early June!) This is your last week of domestic frictions - by Saturday, you enter six weeks of romantic courage and more creative work! Be a little skeptical of romantic and love situations this week, though - deception could lurk, though it contains no malice. You shine Sunday/Monday. Chase money Tuesday (cautiously) and Wednesday (opportunity!).

Sagittarius   Nov. 22-Dec. 21
Settle into solid work - chores, employment, practical stuff. Don't be led into less practical areas by dreams, tv, or a "sweet talker" this week. Fix the stairs, institute health regimens, look to your dependents' welfare - children need someone to "firm up" their future. Co-workers will treat you pleasantly, perhaps even flirtatiously. Avoid a co-worker love affair, though. There will be enough other romance winding through your days to keep you beguiled and happy! Lie low, rest Sunday/Monday. Your energy, charisma rise Tuesday/Wednesday. Chase money Thursday/Friday. Travel, friends bring luck Saturday.

Capricorn   Dec. 22-Jan. 19
Romance, beauty, pleasure, creativity, teaching abilities and successful speculations - one or more of these fill the month ahead. You're on a winning streak! But continue (this week only) to guard against overspending. Until Friday, money worries (or illusions) could interfere with your romantic courage. Or, more simply, a love object might be confused by your apparent lack of possessiveness. Wishes come true Sunday/Monday! (Sunday's better.) Lie low, plan and contemplate Tuesday/Wednesday. Your energy and charisma soar Thursday/Friday - refuse to be overly cautious - get out, chase love or career ambitions!

Aquarius   Jan. 20-Feb. 18
The emphasis falls on home, food, family, roots, nature, property, security, retirement, parent-kid relations, now through late May. Sink into a sluggish, contemplative mood - all is mellow, restful, happy (at least until mid-May). This is nature's hibernation period for you. Tackle renovations, repairs around the home, garden, walk in the park, etc. Reestablish bonds with your family. You're still a bit "on fire" with determination or sensual attractions, but these fade. From Saturday through mid-June, collect money - DON'T spend it! Happiness comes Tuesday/Wednesday; new hopes begin to grow. 

Pisces   Feb. 19-March 20
Errands, mail, visits, short trips, details and paperwork, siblings and casual acquaintances will fill the busy weeks ahead. Starting April 30, through mid-June, your sexual magnetism will radiate, your assertiveness, decisiveness and will power will intensify. These six weeks might send you determinedly after a special money project, one that will pay off from mid-June through July. If you're married, you'll display some of the old boudoir fire! You're mellow, wise Sunday and (less so) Monday. Be ambitious mid-week: success awaits! Hopes and social delights fill Thursday/Friday - avoid secrets.
