ASTRAL REFLECTIONS

ALL SIGNS: Finish rather than start, all week. 
You might notice I've switched roles over the last two months, from cheerleader to prophet of doom. Let me wear the "doom cloak" for one more session (this preamble) and then I'll feel I can switch to the good side of things (of which there are many). 
In the near-term, a Jupiter-Saturn "square" will make it tougher for new business projects to succeed, if they're begun from September 25/04 to late November 2006. (This aspect has little effect on stock markets.) If the Great Depression was a 9, and the 2000-03 period was a 7, then 2004-06 hits a mere 3 or 4 on the scale of "dire." 
But something close to a 7 or 8 might arrive in 2009 to 2011. 
Cataclysms such as the Great Depression often spawn another cataclysm, which serves to end the first. For example, the Depression spawned - and ended with - World War Two. We, too, have suffered a species of calamity from the year 2000 to 2003. History's largest stock market bubble burst, western societies were shocked by 9/11, airline and travel industries were wrecked, a mild form of police state was inculcated, and the U.S. began the enervating War on Terror. The consequences of this calamity have been blessedly few, and most people escaped not only unscathed, but (if they owned residential real estate) enriched. 
Still, economists worry that there is a "second wave" waiting. They point to the huge U.S. deficit, extended personal credit, etc. The planets also hint at a second upheaval, to arrive in 2009-11. Those years have almost as many "world shaking" aspects as WW II did.  
I don't think there will be a world war, though. We entered a two-century era of "repressive calm" in 1983, in contrast to the "aggressive violence" era of 1732-1983. Perhaps 2009-11 will bring the consequences of the Bush administration's huge deficit. There are hints of strong inflation/deflation in 2009. But it might also signal a new kind of war, or a spreading of the Islam-Christian conflict already underway. 
2009-2011 might be more "disastrous" than 2000-3. It will see the pitting of justice against political and business structures. (We might not recognize the robes that justice wears.) Here are several "trigger spots": October 2009 to January 2010, when martial outbreaks seem likely. May/June 2010, when sudden dislocations, events, market drops or war events are triggered. And April 2011, another war-like time when boundaries are broken, new worlds breached, and new religions begun.

Aries   March 21-April 19
Half the depth, mystery and darkly serious mood of the past month sloughs off you now. But half remains during the month ahead. You could change your life through the agency of investigation, large finances, sexuality and/or major life commitments. Be careful, astute and unselfish. Commit only to what has already been started - begin nothing new before December 20. You grow more mellow, understanding. Themes of love, higher learning, far travel, justice and cultural bonding enter. Your energy and charisma surge Sunday to Tuesday morning. Chase money Thursday. Be curious Friday/Saturday. 

Taurus   April 20-May 20
Relationships grow deeper, more private in the weeks ahead. Some wish you well, others will oppose you, or want to use you - beware the "gilded cage." In business and emotional spheres, discussions revolve around intimacy, commitment, funding, a brave move and its consequences. But AVOID new projects, new partnerships and commitments, before December 20. Your work begins to expand, and will keep growing during the year ahead. Rest, plan Sunday/Monday. Your energy rises mid-week - events are volatile with family, friends, and a good-looking stranger! Your money luck rises Friday p.m.

Gemini   May 21-June 20
A load lightens, but only by half. Your duties in the weeks ahead will be more fun, creative and loving. But your love relationships will demand more work. Relationships - and opportunities - tend to be tied to the past during the month ahead. New links will sink into a maelstrom of indecision. You might be attracted to two equally alluring members of the opposite sex (or two practical opportunities). Seal ongoing agreements this week; delay new negotiations or proposals until after December 19. Pounce on a career opportunity mid-week!

Cancer   June 21-July 22
Knuckle down to work during the month ahead. Get as much completed as you can this week, for delays and mistakes enter November 30 through December 19. Don't start new projects now. Leave big and complex jobs until December 20 onward - chances are you'll be working on them right into January anyway. You're "observed" by higher-ups and VIPs Sunday to Tuesday - show your talents Monday! Hopes, happiness fill the mid-week. A streak of romance will wind through the month ahead - as Wednesday illustrates!  Rest, dream and pray Friday/Saturday.

Leo   July 23-Aug. 22
A month of romance, deep pleasure and self-expression starts now! These might involve a past idea, flame or project - good. Don't start new things (relationships, contracts, opportunities) before December 20. The energy, passion, beauty, and creative surges that fill the month ahead will extend into early February, in a fascinating combination of the intellectual and sensual. In romance, you'll say, "I can't get my mind off you." The entire December-February period brings joy to your relations with children - you teach, they absorb. Success shines Sunday/Monday, and Friday (night). 

Virgo   Aug. 23-Sept. 22
The accent lies on home, family, property, security, retirement, Mother Nature, soul and stomach. You've probably been thinking about these things for several weeks already, but the month ahead features action. This phase also brings you back to lucky real estate, family, or similar things you accomplished in the September 2003-September 2004 period, or to lucky things you DIDN'T accomplish then, but could now (e.g., moving house). Reject brand-new projects until December 19. The late-December to early January period hints at a property or security investment, mortgage re-arrangement, etc.

Libra   Sept. 23-Oct. 22
The month ahead features writing, travel, communications, distribution, siblings, reading, curiosity, paperwork, and details. Finish anything you can in these (and all) areas - there are no good "new starts" until after December 19. You could run into an old friend, discover unread letters/emails, or otherwise "touch the past" in the weeks ahead. Your money picture looks fine - more than usual will flow your way through late December - but don't spend. Expenditures will appear necessary, aren't. This week is disruptive in work, yet you could gain a pay raise - ask!

Scorpio   Oct. 23-Nov. 21
Your energy stays high during the month ahead - and your determination stays even higher. But delays and mistakes will keep you from effectively pushing a new program through, especially in money areas. Stick with past and on-going projects until December 20. Be diplomatic, patient. Money (or a cherished possession) from the past might return, as a boon to you. Collect old debts, search old coffers - something you always wanted to buy could become available. Tackle chores Sunday/Monday. Relationships hold disruption and magic Wednesday to Saturday. Love's possible - lust more so!

Sagittarius   Nov. 22-Dec. 21
At last, your energy and charisma return. You'll attract attention, admiration; you'll be favored. However, this is not as effective a time as usual - co-operation could be "surface only" and you'll meet indecision and delays until December 20. A project, person or idea from the past could work, could bring benefits and joys - but DON'T start new projects nor new relationships until that date onward. You feel romantic, your creative juices flow Sunday/Monday. Tackle work mid-week. (Practice safety precautions.) Relationships hold joy Friday p.m. Secrets succeed, openness disrupts, Wednesday.

Capricorn   Dec. 22-Jan. 19
The weeks ahead draw you into rest, quietude and contemplation. You've worked and played hard for the last month; now it's time to recuperate. It couldn't come at a better time, as the entire world enters an influence of confusion, delays and mistakes next week through December 19. Finish things this week - DON'T start new projects or relationships before December 20. Usually, this would be a good interval to plan, but plans you make before late December will have to change later. Some social delights continue, especially romantic ones!

Aquarius   Jan. 20-Feb. 18
Higher-ups remain short-tempered, but generally pressures ease - fun, lightness, good friends enter your life for the month ahead. Dreams could come true, especially about social, romantic, sensual and financial concerns. For most, an old, cherished wish comes true, perhaps one you'd forgotten about! An old friend, old flame, or a former social group will return to enrich your days. Travel, talk, read, contact others, be curious Sunday/Monday. Take care mid-week, when money and friends don't mix (but money and business/work do). Romantic, creative and pleasure urges rush in Friday/Saturday!

Pisces   Feb. 19-March 20
The weeks ahead heighten your career-prestige-reputation-ambition focus. You'll be tested, your "career environment" - even your entire status or career - could change. Usually I'd advise you to charge ahead with new projects under this influence, but not this time - don't start anything, including new relationships, now through December 19. Promises could be broken. Delays and mistakes can enter the entire work scene. Have "Plan B" ready. The good side is, your net worth grows, and your value is obvious to employers. Chase money Sunday/Monday. Be calm, inventive, not unpredictable Wednesday.
