ASTRAL REFLECTIONS BY TIM STEPHENS FEBRUARY 2 - 8, 2003 All time/dates are PST. A few readers with great memories were kind enough to alert me, back in January, that some newspapers were publishing 2002's "Year Ahead" article by me and calling it 2003's. After I contacted one of those papers, they later ran the right "Year Ahead" with a correction notice (without apology to me or you). I worry about the readers out there who have missed the correction, and are now buying a house in the wrong year...or whatever... George Bush had better fix things before Saturn enters Cancer in June - from that month onward, for two years, he and America will be restricted/constricted.... Many readers, especially in other countries, have written saying my web site is inaccessible. The web master has been replacing the servers...please try again, guys! I promised a reader (who sent a fascinating pair of articles on the subject) that I'd talk about the Galactic Center (GC) - the gravitational and spatial center of our Milky Way. Scientists believe this center is a super-intense black hole. When I was young, before astronomers were so clever, astrologers guesstimated the GC to be at 0 degrees Capricorn - the sign of structure, of ambition, power, of political rulers and captains of industry. It was the zeitgeist, I suppose, that placed the center of our "world" in the bastion of establishment, structure, power and propriety. But it turns out, according to astronomers, that the GC is actually at 26 degrees Sagittarius - that's about 3 moon-widths in the sky from 0 Capricorn. That would hint that the center of our "world" isn't structure and political means, but optimism, luck, coincidence, camaraderie and expansion - all the qualities of Sagittarius. If you were born on the 18th or 19th of December your Sun is in a direct line with the GC - "hugeness" is your strength and your weakness. People born on these days have a tendency to think too big, to plunge into huge bouts of work or wine, politics or pleasures. If you restrict yourselves to an orderly habit and routine, you can accomplish wonders - Jane Austen, who wrote intense, perfect novels, was born here. Many people born in 1948 have Jupiter on this degree, and Uranus exactly opposite - so history might discover that major truths (and pompous nonsense) were uttered by 1948'ers! When the great bull market started in 1982, Neptune (inflation and bubbles) was exactly in line with the GC. Now that we're crashing, Saturn (restriction, "back to earth") is exactly opposite the GC. In 2006, Pluto will be exactly in line with the GC...the middle east or some large geo-political mass might "implode" and be reborn. Start Nothing: 8:02 a.m. to 11:54 a.m. Sun., 6:52 a.m. to 9:44 p.m. Tues., and 6:21 a.m. to 9:59 a.m. Fri. Aries March 21-April 19 Your popularity soars, flirtations abound, wishes come true, and life swells with optimism! A friendly chat early Sunday morning could lead to a real friendship. Rereat Sunday p.m. to Tuesday evening - rest, contemplate your future, be charitable, and deal with institutions or government agencies. (Deal gingerly - this is not a good time to start anything with such folks.) Your energy and magnetism surge late Tuesday night to Friday morning - pounce on opportunities in romance, creative and pleasure zones. You're on a winning streak! Spend, chase money Friday, not Saturday. Taurus April 20-May 20 Chase career, status ambitions and VIP relations all week. Sunday morning provides a clue to the "background action" you should take on Wednesday/Thursday - it can boost you up the success ladder. Think about contacting a government agency or institution, a confidential talk with a boss or parent, a family conference, a research or investment decision, or the lining up of allies. All these shine with luck these two days, but you'll also be tired. So conserve energy, use suasion instead of "personality force." Your energy attracts a flirt Friday. Gemini May 21-June 20 Wisdom, higher learning, far travel, media, law, social rituals, a philosophical attitude - all are favored. Your mind and your direction (in life) are clearer now than in January. A sweet, hot love might begin - remember: moral goodness matters. Monday/Tuesday emphasize your career and standing with VIPs - problems seem unfair, people unjust (or unsavory) and I don't know if you'll "win." But you are in the right, so don't "switch sides." Your popularity surges Wednesday/Thursday - flirtations, social delights arrive and wishes are granted! But dive into rest and solitude Friday/Saturday. Cancer June 21-July 22 Mysteries, secrets, lust, commitments and consequences in sex and finances, research and detective work, lifestyle changes, serious health diagnosis or actions fill the weeks ahead. These zones are neither lucky nor unlucky in themselves now - motive, honesty, right goals are everything. They "link to" stability, opportunity and hard work. E.g., an investment now will be stable, endure; research could uncover an opportunity; sex could tie you to hard work. Avoid legal, international, educational and media ventures Monday/Tuesday. Your ambitions meet great luck Wednesday/Thursday! Social and love joys Friday, confusions Saturday. Leo July 23-Aug. 22 Crucial relationships fill the weeks ahead, in business, love and public areas. (Sunday morning holds a beneficial clue, meeting.) Intense romance could begin - it's better if you're chased, not the other way around, until April. A light affair with a co-worker could "save you" for a more pure, beneficial love later in 2003: state that it's "for awhile." Beware lust, sex, investments, any commitments or deep changes Monday/Tuesday. Love, wisdom, international, educational, media and legal matters fly on currents of luck Wednesday/Thursday! Your prestige soars Friday, hits "confusion" Saturday. Virgo Aug. 23-Sept. 22 Work and health concerns face you. Plod through and endure - by the 18th you'll enter fresh new prospects. Tackle routine Sunday morning - nothing new. Relationships hit frustrating barriers Monday/Tuesday - be diplomatic, chase no one, let others suggest, and keep your own counsel. Deep changes take place in your life and relationships this decade, but you tend to remain "on top" while others struggle against you. Remain honest, caring, and you'll remain on top. Secrets, intimacy, investments - and making life changes - are super-favored Wednesday/Thursday. Friday's mellow, affectionate; Saturday's "gently confused." Libra Sept. 23-Oct. 22 Romance is busting out all over! Ditto creativity, beauty, pleasure, joy from children - your heart's like a garden! Sunday morning's like this. But this afternoon to Tuesday brings work and health demands - perhaps involving your partner's hips/thighs, or your ankles, sexual organs, stomach, legal or media zones. Anyway, tackle chores and keep your temper (Monday morn). Sign nothing. Life's opportunities return late Tuesday night to Thursday - exciting meetings, attractions, love notes/calls, trips to see someone, business opportunities - grab something or someone, Libra! Sex and finances succeed Friday, not Saturday. Scorpio Oct. 23-Nov. 21 The emphasis lies in your home and family, security and soul. Get out in nature, contemplate life's verities and your own bigger direction, especially Sunday morning and next Friday (Feb. 7). Decide who and what should stay in your life in the months and years ahead, and who/what should go. Your romantic, creative, pleasure-prone side rises Sunday p.m. to Tuesday. Barriers and rejections await if you pursue someone, so dream, don't act. Work's very lucky Tuesday night to Thursday: tackle something! Love, an attraction is real Friday; illusive Saturday. Sagittarius Nov. 22-Dec. 21 You're busy, friendly Sunday morning, but settle down to earth this p.m. through Tuesday. Face up to problems on the home front, but don't "force" solutions. The problem only appears to be the mortgage, garden, cooking, etc. Down deep, you want to withdraw or control, yet your mate wants to be aloof/control, and romance/children get sideswiped in all this. If you're single, breathe a sigh and rest up. By Wednesday/Thursday, romance, love, beauty and playfulness ride to all your rescues! If single, chase someone! Work's successful Friday, misdirected Saturday. Capricorn Dec. 22-Jan. 19 Chase money all this week and next, Cap. Spend, earn, continue to "mold" your financial future. (You might feel you're the one who's been molded these years - and again this Sunday morning - by money uncertainties. But think hard: you'll see that your aims and affections have molded everything.) By March, seven years of money worry will dissipate! Be cautious in speech, writing, driving and with all tools Sunday night to Tuesday. Your home, family bring you joy and luck Tuesday night to Thursday. Romance is sweet Friday, befuddled Saturday. Aquarius Jan. 20-March 18 You'll make an impression on somebody Sunday morning. But duck problems this night through Tuesday eve, when you'll run into more nay-sayers than co-operators, especially in money matters. Buy nothing important. Life's friendly, talkative, happy busyness returns Tuesday night to Thursday - run errands, take a short trip, write an important letter/email. A "contact" you make Wednesday could later lead to a major opportunity! Home, family are sweet Friday, but you feel restless, rootless Saturday. Someone's attracted to you this month. Best surety: if he/she "appears" 7-8 p.m. February 11. Pisces March 19-April 20 Rest (if you can) Sunday morning. This eve through Tuesday, your energy will rise to "almost normal." But you face career, money and home problems. Be restful, diplomatic. Don't start important projects. Your faith in the future, in a joyful and affectionate future, will rise mid-week through mid-March. You're going to hit a "high note" of energy and nervous intensity March onward, so rest all you can this month. Money, purchases are lucky Wednesday/Thursday: chase them! A friend, a trip bring beauty, affection Friday; but your direction's muddled Saturday. www.astralreflections.com. E-mail: timstephens@shaw.ca. For a reading: 604-261-1337. /30/
