	TAURUS people are seldom quick to shoulder a chore, but once started, they chug away more efficiently and with more stamina than most – how else did Taurean Shakespeare write all those amazing, massive plays? (My Taurus son, though, tells me Shakespeare wasn’t born April 20 to May 20, and that he didn’t write his plays, and…Talk about disowning – dissing – your ancestry!) Taurus people are slow, cautious, contemplative, and usually very “socially humane.” Taurus is almost never rude, and has an instinctive empathy, a “feel” for the opposite sex. Some of the best marriages take place between the two physical “behemoths” of the zodiac, Taurus and SCORPIO. Not that these signs are larger than others, but they seem to have a deep physical wellspring, depths that are quiet, calm, even secretive. Sometimes, those depths explode. 	Astrologers sometimes say these two signs are the biggest prizefighters, but Archie Moore was a SAGITARIAN, George Foreman a CAPRICORN, Rocky Marciano a VIRGO, Jake LaMotta a CANCER, Jack Dempsey a Cancer, and my favourite when I was younger, “Hands of Stone,” Roberto Duran, was a GEMINI. The only great Taurus fighter I can think of is Sugar Ray Leonard. His nickname, Sugar, reflects the sweetness of Taurus. Leonard was noted for being gracious, velvety, always likable – true Taurus…
	Readers sometimes point out that I’m always mentioning romance, but they’re not getting any. Well, I am too free with the word. Here’s why: every month the Moon spends about 2.5 days travelling through your deep romance sign (the fifth sign down the horoscope column from yours, when you count your own sign as # 1 – e.g., AQUARIUS’ fifth sign is Gemini, ARIES fifth is LEO.) Then two weeks later it (the Moon) travels through your sign of light, friendly romance (the 11th sign from your own, using the same counting method). 
	The influence is there, so I mention it. However, when I use the key word romance, you can also read it as “creativity,” a gambling (and winning) mood, adventure, pleasure, beauty, vacation, love of children, teaching children, etc. So for many of us, these few days bring a little shot of beauty as we’re riding the bus or gazing over our front yard, a good session at the painting easel, etc. Actual romance occurs to the proportion that hot blood flows through your veins – big and often when you’re sixteen or twenty. But that hot blood’s thins and cools at fifty or sixty. You get what your body creates. 
	For major love luck, you need the Sun, Jupiter and other planets to “line up.” That occurs much less often. I usually accompany such times with phrases like “true love” or “mad love.” Even then, your personal chart rules – e.g., even in the best love year for, say, Scorpio, only 1 in 2 or 1 in 3 Scorpios will have a major affair or marry – though most will have the opportunity.

Aries   March 21-April 19
The accent lies on relationships, through late October. You’ll feel romantic, brave, adventurous – this helps you meet exciting new contacts, love prospects, and business or monetary opportunities. But it can also propel you to quarrel, make unwanted advances, or be a little too rough with a loved one or children. (All this to November 10.) So use a light touch – your “vibrancy” will come through. You could meet true love. Tackle routine chores Sunday/Monday. Relationships intensify Tuesday-Thursday: one bond breaks, another forms. Wisdom, love, travel Friday night onward!

Taurus   April 20-May 20
Sunday/Monday gives you one last taste of pleasure, poetry and romance, as you enter a month of hard work. (You’re a slow starter but a great worker, accomplisher.) Tuesday/Wednesday bring a real taste of that work. Knuckle down; ignore the temptation to day-dream. Your nights might hold strange, deep, muffled dreams, about alienation or relationship difficulties. (If you work the graveyard shift, these might be actual relationship or work – computer? – problems. Proceed cautiously.) The world offers new meetings, new horizons Thursday/Friday. Saturday holds mysteries – research!

Gemini   May 21-June 20
The past few weeks brought endings, perhaps one big (and believe it or not, lucky) one. These endings somehow will lead to better horizons in love, mating, general opportunity, relocation and dealings with the public. Though Saturday contains a hint of these, they won’t arrive “full bodied” until June 2012 through July 2013. Meanwhile, you’ll still receive a “boost” from these endings – relief, freedom of spirit, etc. Spend the next eight months healing, getting square with governments (e.g., taxes) being charitable, and seeking spirit. A hint of those new horizons appears Saturday.

Cancer   June 21-July 22
The weeks ahead (especially this Tuesday/Wednesday) feature your domestic situation, children, property, garden, your soul, stomach… and give you a mild hibernating experience. Some relationships, projects and situations will end, others begin: prune the stale, nurture potential. Your money heats up through early November – avoid impulsive spending. More will come in, but much more can go out, unless you’re careful. Sunday/Monday are abrupt, unpredictable: practice safe driving and “safe career” – a new one possible! Romance, beauty lure Thursday/Friday. Tackle chores Saturday.

Leo   July 23-Aug. 22
Short trips, mail, communications, paperwork, errands and details fill the busy weeks ahead. Those communications will be profitable if you send them to the powers that be. You’re greatly favoured by them now. Through early November, your sexual magnetism flares strongly, your determination grows, and your mental side grows. You might speed to a foreign country, start a lawsuit, begin higher studies, or otherwise throw your consciousness into a swift adventure! You might also talk marriage with someone. Careful midweek: a bigger job than is apparent lurks under the surface. 

Virgo   Aug. 23-Sept. 22
The weeks ahead feature possessions, sensual relationships, money, earnings, buying/selling. Your charisma, energy and luck soar Sunday/Monday – take advantage! You’ll meet unusual, unpredictable money situations Sunday into Tuesday: take it in stride. Invest only cautiously. An unusual sexual attraction might occur – it will seem merely friendly, but suddenly approach “other zones.” This is not likely to be a stable, lasting bond. Separations or love disappointments can come midweek. Thursday/Friday promote travel, casual friendships, love bonds. Be home, in nature, Saturday.

Libra   Sept. 23-Oct. 22
You ride a wave of success now into late October, Libra! You’ll get along well with others, especially a spouse or business associates. You could meet a potent lover in a group setting (anything from double dating to a political convention).  The more you mingle socially, the more chance you’ll meet someone intriguing. Normally anyone you meet in the next six weeks (or did, last week) would make a splendid partner. But this year promotes deeply sexual, not necessarily faithful, bonds. Lie low, plan, rest Sunday/Monday. Conquer people and problems midweek. Money, Thursday/Friday.

Scorpio   Oct. 23-Nov. 21
Your mood rises to friendly, optimistic heights Sunday/Monday. A “bump” might occur in your duties and relations with organizations, government or care-givers. Tuesday/Wednesday strike the general tone for the weeks ahead: you’ll be a bit weary, quiet and contemplative – seek sweet solitude, plan your future. Give to charities, be spiritual. Realize (as you know so well) that secrets and communications don’t mix. Your energy rises nicely Thursday/Friday, but don’t be fooled Friday eve. Saturday brings good money, shopping. Fifteen years of home insecurity will end forever by 2012!

Sagittarius   Nov. 22-Dec. 21
Adventure strikes! A wish will come true during the month ahead. You’ll feel friendly, feted, flirtatious, optimistic and ready for fun. The seven weeks ahead will intensify your legal, intellectual, far travel, cultural, publishing, religious, and/or educational involvements. You could visit another country, succeed at school, etc. You could also fall in, even wed – but a caution here: overall, now to June 2012 is a work period, not especially a lovey-dove one. (You’ll see this very strongly November/11 to June/12.) Your “true relating” time occurs June 2012 to July 2013. 

Capricorn   Dec. 22-Jan. 19
The accent lies on your career over the month ahead. Not everything will be easy here, as Sunday to Wednesday show. Sunday/Monday provoke abrupt, unpredictable events in your career zone, while Tuesday/Wednesday lead to calmer waters. (But you sense, correctly, that there is a big need for change beneath those calming surfaces.) By October 2012, all this career pressure will end, but until then, don’t quit your job unless you have a better one “in hand.” Your mood lightens, and a wee wish could come true, Thursday/Friday. A flirtation could surprise you. Retreat, rest Saturday.

Aquarius   Jan. 20-Feb. 18
Relationships intensify until early November – whether it’s love or hate, you’ll do plenty of talking, writing. The stakes might be your lifestyle, assets, sexual “health” – as November to July 2012 will show. For a few weeks ahead, your “opinion” remains mellow, wise and understanding. Love could blossom. Legal, intellectual, far travel, cultural and educational themes envelope you. Happiness is possible! But tread carefully in legal waters midweek: don’t hide anything. Career important Thursday/Friday. Popularity, social joys, light romance visit you Friday night, Saturday.

Pisces   Feb. 19-March 20
Relationships hold some surprises Sunday/Monday, especially in money and sexual areas. It’s not the best time to seek co-operation. The month ahead focuses on big finances, secrets, lifestyle, health diagnoses, sexual urgings and intimacy, research, changes, commitments and consequences. These themes are very apparent Monday night to Wednesday eve – proceed carefully, as some hidden barriers exist (again mostly barriers to co-operation) but so do some sweet successes. Gentle love and understanding flow over you Thursday/Friday. Be ambitious, mix with power people Saturday.
