ASTRAL REFLECTIONS

	Every once in awhile I need to repeat this: if you email me (timstephens@shaw.ca) please use "astrology question" or "astral" in your subject line, otherwise it might get deleted instead of read. I usually answer short, simple emails in two days, but long emails can take up to two weeks because I tend to put them aside.
	My most frequent emails these last two weeks were from LEOS, whom I mentioned, then said nothing about, while discussing the signs most affected by Mars in Taurus through February/06. So for you Leos: Mars brings temperament, impatience and impulsivity on the part of higher-ups, VIPS, authorities and parents. Not a good time to face the judge or argue with the police! Mars can also spur Leo personalities to outbreaks of temper or impatience in career and parenting situations. On the other hand, Mars can bring good things: a career boost related to law, long-distance travel, publicity, media, publishing, war, construction/demolition, education, statistics, insurance, or scientific involvements. This is a great time to formally go to school in pursuit of close or eventual career goals. The best time for bringing these themes into your career zone is September/05, and the best time for "accepting" or embracing one of these elements from the past (e.g., a publisher you contact years ago turns around and contacts you, or you're sent to a country you visited years ago, etc.) is October - before the 25th.
	I receive a spattering of emails over the years about the "new planets." I use quotation marks because scientists are arguing over whether these newly discovered objects are planets or not, although one of them (2003 UB313) is bigger than Pluto, and some are not a lot smaller. (Many astronomers consider Pluto's planetary status to be merely honorary anyway.) When I first heard of one or two of these new bodies I thought, "Oh, boy, we've finally found Virgo and Libra's ruling planets!" But that was premature: their location, the Kuiper Belt (roughly a little further out than Pluto) has so far "given up" over 400 new "planets" - way too many for my 12-sign zodiac! (Obviously, for astrologers, these Kuiper Belt discoveries present a major problem, one which might cause the entire rethinking of astrology itself. Could we have 400 + signs? Astrologers could note the discovery date of each body, and place that body in rulership over that degree of the zodiac - of which there are 360, still leaving us short!)
	BTW, as I told you last week, "K" represents Scorpio. Pluto rules Scorpio. The "Kuiper Belt," situated around Pluto, has a Scorpio name. Who woulda thunk? Almost every Kuiper "body" has been discovered since 1995 - exactly when Pluto entered Sagittarius, the sign of "distant places."

Aries   March 21-April 19
Your last week of chores and drudgery, Aries. Your energy and persuasiveness rise nicely Sunday/Monday, so you should be able to dispatch those chores easily. (You might also attract someone sexy, stumble on a valuable secret, or flow into a good financial idea.) Be cautious with money, purchases and business projects Tuesday - chase these Wednesday, after dawn. Thursday starts a month of fresh horizons, new relationship themes, opportunities, challenges and competition - be diplomatic, quick to cooperate but slow to bond/join. (All told, you're better off being independent until July/06.)

Taurus   April 20-May 20
Relationship adventures continue, as does the affection others show you. But your romantic, pleasure/beauty-oriented mood will give way, Thursday onward, to a month of chores. Don't immerse yourself in hands-on tasks - those begun before October 8 might be, to some degree, a waste of time. Think before you commit, and don't volunteer. It's better to delegate, if you can. Spiritual, government, charitable and institutional involvements succeed superbly Sunday/Monday. Visit a psychic or counselor. Your energy, charisma surge Tuesday/Wednesday - use them to solve domestic and career problems. Chase money Thursday/Friday.

Gemini   May 21-June 20
A month of sluggishness, of domestic focus, will end Thursday, to be replaced by weeks of romance, games, gambles, creativity, pleasure, beauty and "teaching talents." I've nudged you, the past few weeks, to examine your life, to decide who/what stays, who/what goes. Continue this process, but differently, Sunday/Monday: envision the future that meets your fondest desires, then use this as your guide. Your feel for the future, your ability to "bring it" (through socializing?) is superb these two days! Rest, withdraw Tuesday/Wednesday: avoid communicating. Your energy, charm skyrocket Thursday onward!

Cancer   June 21-July 22
Be ambitious Sunday/Monday -many factors line up to aid your bid for success! Then Tuesday/Wednesday brings a social mood - but don't invest, seek sex, nor mix friends with money, lifestyle changes or anything important. Thursday begins a month of domestic involvements: food, shelter, real estate, family, soul, gardening, renovations, construction, etc. Be careful: separate the lucky from the tempting. (The tempting tends to show before October 8, the lucky after.) Don't blithely wander into a subtle, soft trap. If in doubt, hands-off! Pleasure, beauty will continue to accompany you!

Leo   July 23-Aug. 22
Your money chase loses steam, though you'll have to be diplomatically ambitious Tuesday/Wednesday, and to some degree into February. You have a great chance to acquire wisdom, learning, or a view that elevates your understanding of the world Sunday/Monday. Love, cultural events, writing, far travel, education, law - these go well, and might form a beneficial link to your worldly success over the winter ahead. Thursday starts a month of paperwork, short travel, details, casual contacts, communications, distribution, siblings, variety and curiosity. Avoid "drowning" in these. Home remains sweet, family affectionate!

Virgo   Aug. 23-Sept. 22
You can make, at the least, a lucky, successful improvement in your life, relationships or finances Sunday/Monday. At most, you might instigate a complete turnover - relocation, change of partners, big new investment, house purchase, etc. Law, education, far travel, publishing meet both good luck and pitfalls mid-week. Best time: Wednesday eve into 9 a.m. (PDT) Thursday. Your career, prestige, and relations with powerful people are accented Thursday-Saturday. Luck aids you, but some illusion might make you misperceive your task. Thursday begins an earning/purchasing month: take care before October 8.

Libra   Sept. 23-Oct. 22
You're still tired Sunday to Wednesday, Libra. But beneficial relationships, agreements, contracts and opportunities confront you Sunday/Monday: say yes! Be quiet, thoughtful Tuesday. Save commitments, sex, investments, research and big changes for Wednesday noon to Thursday morning. Thursday begins a month of sharply higher energy, increased magnetism and effectiveness. Start important projects, especially in distant travel, internationalism, social rituals (e.g., weddings) and culture, publishing, higher education, law, intellectual acuity, religion, gentle love and "life philosophy." These areas and activities hold rewards and lucky results for the month ahead.

Scorpio   Oct. 23-Nov. 21
Gather your wishes, your pleasures and laughter while ye may, Scorpio, for a quiet month begins Thursday. (At it's end you'll begin one of the luckiest, buoyant two-years in your life, so I don't feel sorry for you.) In order, then: Chores, machinery, dependents go extremely well Sunday/Monday. Tackle big ones, buy tools, machines. Relationships might frustrate Tuesday, but they'll heat you up Wednesday, and bring good luck this night to Thursday morn. Thursday onward, for a month, lie low, rest, avoid competition. Seek insights, secrets, spirituality, research, plan. 

Sagittarius   Nov. 22-Dec. 21
A lot of pressures will fade in the days ahead. Romance, pleasure, the beauty of the world - and your creative faculties - give you a "destiny boost" Sunday/Monday. Chores and duties crowd in Tuesday to Thursday morning. Tackle them, but carefully, alertly Tuesday. Creative work is favored Wednesday day/night, then superb accomplishment arrives through mid-morning Thursday. After this, a whole month of optimism, socializing, wish fulfillment, light flirtation and future goals begins - and it begins with an exciting meeting/opportunity! But remain a bit skeptical, too. Aim deep, rather than "fluffy."

Capricorn   Dec. 22-Jan. 19
Sunday/Monday bring good endings and new beginnings - two great days to pursue real estate, home repairs/renos, buy furniture, or simply sink into nature and your thoughts, or into your family's affection. Romance, beauty, pleasure, creative and speculative ventures attract you Tuesday/Wednesday: these can succeed well Wednesday p.m. into Thursday morning. A home figures prominently. Thursday begins a month of career pressures, ambitions, relations with higher-ups. Usually I'd urge you to start big projects, but this time you should be a little cautious: look deeply into all motives and outcomes. 

Aquarius   Jan 20-Feb. 18
Tackle paperwork, errands, communications, detail and distribution projects Sunday to mid-afternoon Monday. You'll succeed! (Be curious, too - you could learn a valuable secret.) Settle down, be home, take care of family, food and shelter issues (or business foundations or sales territory) Tuesday/Wednesday. These aren't easy Tuesday, and might trigger temper Wednesday eve, but they succeed admirably late Wednesday into Thursday morning. Thursday begins a month of pleasant thoughts, reveries, cultural events, love (significant love) and understanding. Be slow to enter higher learning, publishing ventures: DO NOT enter a lawsuit.

Pisces   Feb. 19-March 20
Chase money, make important purchases Sunday to 3 p.m. Monday. Luck, even a bit of destiny (regarding a raise or promotion, business idea/start) are on your side! It's better not to communicate than to project an aura of negativity Tuesday. But money communications/paperwork are significant Wednesday, and very successful into Thursday mid-morning! Thursday begins a month of mystery, big finances, intimacy, sexual desires, subconscious urges, commitments, changes, health and occultism. The home, family, nature, property and security will play an important role. Be careful not to commit yourself too deeply!
