ASTRAL REFLECTIONS BY TIM STEPHENS MARCH 7 - 13, 2004 All times/dates are Pacific Standard. If we were to look at the world around us, PISCES would be as deep and current-filled as the ocean (and as ungraspable). VIRGO would be the trees and earth - solid, practical. GEMINI would be the air, even more ungraspable, in a way, than Pisces - but full of little shifts and breezes, quiet and neutral most times, but unstable and capable of swift violence. And SAGITTARIUS would be the sun, hot, enthusiastic, paternal, and always beaming down on everyone and saying, "I know the TRUTH - Hey, listen to me, Guys, I know the truth!" (And to some degree, in his own sunny way, Sagittarius does.) All these signs, as mentioned last week, have trouble with decisions. This is often attributed to their ability to see both sides of any question or situation. That's half the truth. The core indecision comes from an inability to prioritize, to count one thing as more important than another. To Pisces, a bug is as important as a bird, an elephant as a crow, because they all contain the spark of life. To Virgo, one action is as important as another, because, logically, doing this before that could lead to being late to do that more important thing (punctuality is very important to Virgo) or doing that more important thing first might logically leave him in the wrong place to do the other things, and...it's so complex... For Sagittarius, the meaning is all important: "Do I love you because I really love you? Or is this my inclination because I've been raised by two parents who were, afterall, very loving, but were they loving in the right way, I mean, what was the truth of it all?..." Gemini can't decide because there's so much variety, so much to do and see and be curious about, and ultimately Gemini even considers failure to be interesting. Gemini is almost afraid of an ultimate answer. He finds it hard to tie himself down to a decision - it's so much like a commitment, and commitment's so - confining. Each of these signs can make superb decisions, when they stick to their "natural method." Gemini makes good snap decisions - this sign's first un-contemplated answer is usually the right one. (Their intuition supplies the right answer. Geminis live very close to their subconscious, though most of them don't know it.) Virgo should always do what's logical and practical - or calmly list the pros and cons, then choose the longest column of pros. Sagittarius makes the right decisions when enthusiastic. As soon as they lose their enthusiasm about anything, they lose their will power, decisiveness and luck. Pisces should decide whenever that calm, quiet, mellow feeling nudges them gently...it's their intuition taking over. Start Nothing: 0:49 a.m. to 2:31 p.m. Sun., 4:43 a.m. to 6:03 p.m. Tues., 8:11 p.m. to 8:57 p.m. Thurs., and 1:01 p.m. to 11:51 p.m. Sat. Aries March 21-April 19 Rest, recuperate, contemplate and plan. Handle red tape, contact government agencies, institutions. Be charitable, spiritual. Delegate tasks. Fulfill overdue burdens. Friday onward will "birth" new paperwork, detailed work, distribution, communications, errands/mail projects - make sure these "finish up" by late March, as April will bring mistakes, delays. Major home and family responsibilities, which you have either put off, or been frustrated with, will "march forward" now to October. Bigger burdens loom here, but bigger rewards, too! This week builds to a necessary change (Friday) in legal, travel, educational, and media zones. Taurus April 20-May 20 Social delights, popularity, optimism, light flirtations, entertainment, wish fulfillment - these fill your days! Deep romance is also in the air - but don't marry this year, nor ever marry anyone you first meet in 2004. (Nor start a business partnership.) This "yes to love, no to marriage" isn't cruel fate - it's because, in honesty, you won't feel deeply enough about this person. So have fun. A deep adjustment might come in your romantic/sensual, financial, lifestyle or health zones around Monday and Friday. Work succeeds Monday. Relationships excite Wednesday/Thursday! Deep "disagreement" Friday/Saturday. Gemini May 21-June 20 Last week was filled with career and home opportunities. This week, competing interests arise with your spouse, your competition, or the general environment (including your relations with the public). These will affect your career, community standing, or parental role. Find common ground. Give a little, but walk away from unreasonable demands, dictatorial people. These matters come to a head Monday and Friday. Be home Sunday daytime. Romance, beauty, pleasure draw you Sunday eve to Tuesday. Work/health factors are mostly favourable Wednesday/Thursday. Relationships, exciting but "doomed" new meetings arise Friday/Saturday. Cancer June 21-July 22 Legal, international, ritual, religious, media, far-travel, intellectual and similar pursuits could run into a mechanical, technical or work-related wall this week. It might loom large, or be merely a whisper, an unsettled feeling. E.g., your work schedule could conflict with a planned trip, a legal solution isn't practical, etc. An adjustment is needed. Large or small, this adjustment will essentially change the nature of the project. That's okay! Settle into home, family and mother nature Sunday afternoon to Tuesday. Beauty, attraction mid-week. Money's good, but its demands aren't, Friday/Saturday. Leo July 23-Aug. 22 A complex "uneasiness" develops around secrets, a lustful attraction, large finances, intimacy, occultism, research, an investigation or a commitment. What's wrong is that your more romantic, gambling, innocent, creative side isn't comfortable with your more lustful or slightly "greedy" desires/goals. Proceeding now with an investment or sexual (but not loving) relationship could bring "bad luck" - or an unfortunate upheaval. In two or three months, a whole new set of goals and relationships will open up - why commit yourself now? These matters climax Friday - chose, the romantic or practical! Virgo Aug. 23-Sept. 22 Your major relationship(s) might hit a quiet but deep wall this week, particularly Sunday/Monday and Thursday/Friday. The wall's mortar is a difficulty in communication. Its bricks are a home, family, real estate, business location, food or similar basic thing. Chip away the communications mortar, then you can remove the bricks - or at least negotiate them. The stakes are a relationship - if love/marriage or a business partnership (or opportunity) is to thrive, this wall has to be handled! Money draws you Sunday-Tuesday. Communications are aided Wednesday/Thursday. Be restful and FAIR Friday/Saturday. Libra Sept. 23-Oct. 22 The accent lies on work, health, and care of dependents. You've been either lazy or frustrated by slow progress in your career and dealings with higher-ups since late 2003. Now forward motion resumes for eight months - the future brings even bigger career burdens, but also bigger career rewards for Librans who trudge steadily and honestly onward. Your 2004 efforts could ensure your security for three decades to come. This entire week nudges you to make a big change in your work habits, tools, job, car, etc. You're inspired, lucky Monday! Scorpio Oct. 23-Nov. 21 You have to choose between easy sex with someone, and romance with another, between holding what you have or chasing bigger but riskier goals, between opening up and feeling, and staying closed and secure. For best results, make this choice Thursday afternoon (noon - 8 p.m. PST). A legal, international, educational or media project that's been held up for some months will go forward now through early November. A sweet person will enter your life in March, or a present lover will treat you very sweetly! Intuition nudges you Monday. Sagittarius Nov. 22-Dec. 21 Read Gemini message for a clue. Your week features the same dilemna, but in your case, an inability to reach an agreement with someone (perhaps about a spiritual or governmental matter) could affect your home life, security, and soul. (You love freedom, but feeling secure is the ultimate freedom - IF you can then travel or think!) A serious decision about a financial, sexual or health matter - or a lifestyle change - has been put off since late 2003. In the months ahead, you'll decide. The right decision will bring a responsibility. Capricorn Dec. 22-Jan. 19 A government agency, institution or your own "head office" forces you to adjust a paperwork application or "form." It's a minor thing, so just do it. More deeply and subtly, you need to change how you communicate with a spouse, love prospect or business associates. Relationships, having "drifted" since late 2003, will take a firm course through November. In love and business, your interactions will be heavy and long - but you could come away with a mate, partner or decade-affecting agreement! Your optimism, popularity climb to nice heights midweek! Aquarius Jan. 20-Feb. 18 Your social contacts and your long-term cherished goals "press on" your money situation. One has to give - either your earnings or spending adjust to fulfill a dream goal, or you curtail those goals (and social activities). (It will be your earning/spending situation that bends, not your goals.) Your employment picture, "becalmed" since late 2003, now slowly gears up through November - but decide how big a burden you want to bear in this area. (Remember - forget "prestige!") If you owe taxes, they must be handled now. Love whispers gently Monday! Pisces Feb. 19-March 20 Your abilities, energy, charisma and timing are excellent this week. That's good, because you face a challenge from higher-ups (bosses, parents, authorities) or a change in your career and/or community position. This is strongest early week, when "foundations" change, and communications with another (mate, partner, competitor) might be involved, and late week, when last week's opportunity comes to the fore. Don't fight change - instead, remember last week's new meetings, contacts, promises or opportunities, and follow them up! Work hard Sunday/Monday. Rest Tuesday. Be mellow, loving mid-week.
